Ch-13 - Pursue Your Dream

"Sophie, did you just introduce us to 2 boys in the same day?" Suzie asked. "You make friends real fast, don't you?" Charlotte asked

"Yes to both of the question. By the way, Joey has a record of writing 26 stories in 16 years.. I wish u could do the same." Sophie cried.

"Jesus, that's a lot!" Charlotte exclaimed. "Yup, I agree." And Suzie being Suzie chocked on air.

Like I did while writing it-

"Enough chit chat, where's Jacob?" Sophie asked. "Jacob who?" Someone popped from behind.

"How do you-" Sophie choked. "Don't worry about that, babe. This Jacob guy sounds hot, who's he?"

"Nanya, nanya business Rebecca." Charlotte said. "Okay, first of all, is that 'babe' revenge? Second of all, why do you want to know? Third of all, it's non of ya business, as Char said."

"I am not answerable to you Miss Dream." Rebecca said. "Well then I ain't answering your question." Sophie played along.

"Oh Rebecca honey, kindly leave me and my friends alone or I'll shove this book up your butt and make you vomit knowledge." Joey said in an unusual tone filled with sarcasm.

Feisty nerd, eh?

"You wouldn't dare." Rebecca said in a dangerous voice. "Are we playing truth or dare? Then I dare Rebecca to leave us alone." Jacob popped in.

Ooo, looks like Jacob also knows how to pop in, now Rebecca will know what it feels like to be interrupted.

Rebecca was startled by him. Then she became angry due to the interruption, and started an argument with Jacob. After sometime, Sophie was fed up and she dragged her friends somewhere else.

"What was the meaning of THAT?" Sophie asked angrily. "We both know that she's just a waste of time. Why bother?"

"As your bodyguard, I am supposed to protect you." "It's not like she was hurting me. I could've dealt with her."

"You're her what?!" Joey asked. "Shut up Joey!" Both the fighting wrecks said together.

"No you couldn't, she'd just crush your dream and you'd just stand there crying." "Oh really? I never cried before while arguing with her, my friends had to drag me out of the argument!" "So you're telling me that you're not affected by her words?" "Yes!" "Well then, when was the last time you wrote Fighting Fever?"

PS, author note : Frighting Fever was the story, Sophie was writing recently

Sophie went quiet. She couldn't remember. She forgot what she was supposed to write. She forgot the story line. A tear fell out of her left eye.

"See, I told you. I can deal with Rebecca. You can pursue your dream. I am not here to protect you, but to prevent Rebecca from getting to you." Jacob said.

"How did I... let my guard down and let her... let her affect me.. I'm.. I'm so stupid." Sophie chocked.

"This girl that you're protecting, this girl! She'll never become an author! She's a useless piece of trash!" Rebecca screamed. "You have no right to call her useless! I bet she can write better stories that you, and that's a fact." Jacob defended.

"You call her an author? Please, she can't even stand up for herself and has to hire a bodyguard to protect her. What a baby." Rebecca said.

"Will you shut up? She's so much better than you! You have no life other than destroying people's hopes and dreams, you brainless alien!" Jacob defended again.

"Do you both mind finishing this burning argument right here and right now?" Joey asked. Sophie had enough of it.

"Stop you two! Enough!" Sophie was fed up and she dragged her friends somewhere else.
