Ch-15 - Jacey

The day went by and the next day came. Sophie hoped that Jacob would be present today and got up from her bed. After her daily routine, she started walking to get a bus to school.

"Hey Sophie! Sorry I couldn't come to school yesterday, did Rebecca bother you?" Jacob asked. He was standing in front of the school gate waiting for the others.

"Eh, it's okay, and yea Rebecca did bother me, but we dealt with her." Sophie replied. "We?" "Charlotte, Suzie, Joey and me."

"Oh, I'm sorry I couldn't help." Jacob said regretfully. "Nah, Suzie bumped into her and she fell flat on her butt. It was hilarious." Sophie said laughing.

"Well, I missed a lot I guess." Jacob said laughing. "Hey! I'm here, where are the others?" Charlotte asked, joining Jacob and Sophie.

"Ciao~ The others are not here yet" Sophie said. "Good morning" the trio said together, then bust out laughing. "Y'all jinxed it." Suzie joined too.

"I guess we did" Sophie said still laughing. "I deeply apologize for being late! Did class start?" Joey joined too. "Not really. Let's go before we get late." Charlotte said.

Before going inside, Sophie noticed a blush on Jacobs face and she made a lenny face.

"So, let's discuss about the talent show?" Sophie asked. "Sure!" "What talent show?" Joey and Jacob asked together, then looked at each other and laughed.

"We have a Halloween talent show of 30th October. You don't have to be of a part of your club for this, but you can do it with your friends by mixing up your talent to create a show." Sophie explained.

"Ooh, so what do y'all wanna do?" Jacob asked. "How about a fight with a song?" Suzie asked.

"What do you mean?" "I'll explain, but first can any of you play instruments?" Suzie asked. "I can play the piano" Joey said.

"A piano will be enough. Now, I'll need Sophie to write the lyrics to a horror song, Joey can play it on the piano. I'll sing, while Charlotte and Jacob can do a Halloween fight on the song. It should be a fight song with spooky background music." Suzie explained.

Everyone liked the idea and they started working on their parts.

"I don't know how to write!" Sophie said fake crying. "Oh shush. What are we? Frogs?" Charlotte said. Sophie fake cried more.

"Well what is she supposed to write? No fighting song can be made with spooky background music. We need one with energy." Joey defended. Sophie fakely sniffed a yes please.

"Okayyyyy, fine. It'll be with energetic music!" Suzie gave up.

"It's done!" Sophie said, and everyone in the room looked at her. "Wait really? So fast!?" Charlotte asked. "Yup!"

"Show me." Suzie said. "Woah, the lyrics are good! Now Joey, can you create a tune for it?" Suzie asked. "Sure, kindly give me the lyrics."

"Also Sophie, can you create the storyline?" "Sure."

The next week passed by and the group practised their play. Now, there were only 2 days left for Halloween.

Sophie will narrate the story. Suzie will sing. Joey would play the background music with a piano. Charlotte and Jacob will fight according to the story. And now, starts the wait.

"I can't believe only 5 days are left!" Suzie squealed. "Yea, you were bossy enough for it." Charlotte laughed and Suzie pouted.

"The play is better than I expected." Sophie said. "I agree!" Joey exclaimed.

"Uhh, Joey, can I talk to you privately?" Jacob asked, blushing. "Joey gave him a confused look, and said " Sure."

"Ya know, I think he's gonna confess." Sophie said. "What?!" Charlotte and Suzie asked together. "Didn't y'all notice Jacob blushing when Joey is near?" Sophie asked.

"No, but I noticed Joey blushing when Jacob is nea- wait what?" Charlotte said is a shocked state. "Ship!" Suzie and Sophie said together. "Ship indeed." Charlotte agreed, making a Lenny face.

"Are they gay or something?" Someone said from behind.

"So what do you wanna talk about?" Joey asked Jacob. "Well I just wanted to ask if...you'd like to date me? I mean I've had a crush of you for a few months now! Can we at least try?" Jacob asked.

"I think we...."
