Ch-9 - Mystery Aunty

The next morning, Sophie woke up with swollen eyes. She was crying all night. The though of her mother kept her awake.

She finally rose up from her bed and went to get ready.

After breakfast, she headed towards school.

"My god Sophie, you look horrific! Were you crying last night?" Suzie asked Sophie. "That diary must be really important to you, wasn't it?" Charlotte asked.

"I'll be honest, yes I was crying last night and yes, that diary is very special to me." Sophie answered.

"Hah! The nerd has been crying, big twist!" And she laughed. Guess who? Yes, Rebecca.

"Would you please leave us alone? For five minutes!" Charlotte cried. "Alright geez, but only because Sophie was crying. Otherwise, you're not getting rid of me." Rebecca said and walked away.

Did Rebecca care about Sophie, or are those just words?

"Sophie, you look tired, you should've taken a break today dear." Ms. Young said.

"No ma'am it's okay, I'm fine." "You don't look fine, come with me, I'll call your parents to pick you up." Ms. Young insisted.

"....father" Sophie said. "...father, I'll call your father to pick you up. Come with me sweety." Sophie followed Ms. Young in the teacher's cabin.

"So, you're telling me that you've been crying all night, but why?" Her father asked. "I just...missed mom..." Sophie said.

"Sweety, I know it's hard but you have to get over her to live your life. Its been 8 years! Move on, live your life." Her father encouraged her. "Mmhm, you're right. Isn't aunty coming today?" Sophie tried to change the topic.

"Oh yea, she's waiting at home."
