The four sat relaxed in Markus' room. It held a slight lingering smell of turpentine and was illuminated by the morning light filtering through paint splattered blinds. Markus's head was buried into the crook of Josh's neck as he ran his fingers through Simon's hair and Simon messed around with North's. North spread out like a starfish on the super king size bed. Josh was mentally scrolling through social media. Abruptly, he snorted.

"Have you seen this?"

"Seen what, idiot."

"Oh, right," He opened an interface and sent the thread to the others.

"Oh my rA9. This shit is gold." North said as she straightened out her back.

Simon flicked North in the ear, "Stop moving, I'm trying to braid your hair."

Markus lifted his head from Josh's shoulder.

"Anyone else thinking the same thing as me?"

North poked Simon in the cheek and then turned to Markus to reply to him.

"Well, I have no idea what you're thinking but I wanna mess with the humans."

"Of course you do, North. I mean, it kind of sounds fun." Josh pondered.

"That is exactly what I was thinking." The leader remarked.

"I'm down." Simon had given up on braiding North's hair at this point.

"Operation confuse the humans even more is a go."

"You're such a nerd, Josh." Simon murmured fondly.

The park was somewhat busy and the air was light. Trees were strewn about as Detroit's last effort to make a space for nature in the city.

"Why are we here? It's not like we can eat a picnic." Markus queried.

"Just wait for it."

A squirrel flitted across the path; Simon's eyes lit up.

"North, do you see that?"

"What?"

"Just- come on!"

Simon dragged North by the hand to where the squirrel came from. Surely there were more, right? He had to let her see one.
