What Are We Celebrating?

How do successful people sleep? Do they always think about work 24/7 or is it just me? This week has been totally stressful. I opened 2 nail salons last week and still managing my main one in the heart of LA which was very overwhelming and to top it off, finding reliable managers for the other salons was another stressful work but thank god I have great friends that have other great friends that were well experienced in that same field. How do successful people handle relationships? I thought, as I was filing a very famous businesswoman's nails while she giggled with her fiancé sitting next to her. It must be nice to be successful and in a solid relationship cause god knows I can't do both.

**flash back scene to 2015**

"What the fuck is wrong with you Aaron?!" I shouted angrily.
"What did you expect? We hardly saw each other, when was the last time we had sex?" He asked.
I shook my head in disappointment and walked out onto the balcony of our hotel room in Dubai. It was hot and we just came back from a soca concert where he was performing at. I didn't want to believe that he was cheating on me. As much as I heard from my friends, I just couldn't believe it until I saw that text on his phone while he was performing.

Kelsey: baby I miss you so so sooo much! Hurry back to Trinidad nuh! Amma give yuh sum good good fuck when you get back.

Aaron: I miss you too babes! Doh worry...I coming home d day after tomorrow...we go link up. Can't wait to love you up too.

He came out onto the balcony and leaned on the banister overlooking the city.
"Look you no I real check for you, but all you ever do is work. I mean I understand we all have to make a living but we have to have time for our loved ones-"
"You can't tell me this bullshit cos I do make time for you...but you rather spend it drinking n partying with the boys or probably fucking that bitch" I said cutting him off. He sighed
"Baby-"
"Don't baby me sir....I ain't yo baby from the moment I saw that shit. Aaron we're done...you go your separate way...I go mines" I said trying my hardest not to tear up since I was so angry at him. What did I do to deserve this, I thought. I loved him so much and just like that, a 4 year relationship was ended.

***current year***
After her nails were finished, she complimented me on a job well done and booked her next appointment with the receptionist. My phone started ringing.
"Haaayyyyy biiitccchhh!!! What time you coming home! We gotta celebrate! You, me, Monique, Ariel and Sheniqua ! They're coming over! We having drinks....and you CANNOT say no!" She said laughing while being serious at the same time. I groaned but luckily for her I was finishing early today.
"I should be home by 6:30...what are we even drinking" I asked taking off my apron and hanging it in my office.
"Wellll!!! I'm getting a bartender and he already gave me a drink list on the selected cocktails so....it's a cocktail night! Also the caterers just bought over the food so..." I swear Kelly loves to throw parties even if it's a small one. But hay! When your husband is a billionaire I guess you can do whatever the hell you want, right?
"Geez...ok I'll be there shortly"
"You better! Cos we're all here except for you" she said and I laughed
"I'm coming! Give me a few!" I said laughing.
We all met in high school back in Caribbean, and we were inseparable even till this day.

Monique opened up her restaurant a few years back and it's the #1 hotspot for celebrities and the food is phenomenal.

Ariel is a pilot for untied airlines and her fiancé Joshua owns a few hotels in the Middle East and Asia.

Sheniqua is a stripper, and a bad ass one too! But she got an entanglement going on with her girlfriend who is a successful singer.

Kelly owns a few clothings stores in Cali, New York, Georgia and Texas. Her husband Raymond owns a telecommunications company in Italy and also has a few hotels in the Caribbean.
