The victim's blood showed tremendous amounts of lactic acid. Meaning, she stopped producing ample oxygen and ATPs. This led the pathologists to conduct a toxicology report, which showed the chemical cyanide positive in her system. 

                          
Based on the timeline and the condition of her body, they concluded that it was found in one of the last things the victim consumed.
