"Remus get off of the refrigerator, you are going to hurt yourself."
"This nifty buzzing thing is called a refrigerator?! What does it do?" Remus asked ecstatically, a yelp escaping his lips as he fell off the fridge. A small crack could be heard and in a split second of horror, Logan thought Remus has broken a bone.
Except, quite literally, two seconds later, Remus jumped up and stretched. A grin spread onto the mustached man's face like jam would be spread on toast. This worried Logan and he quickly grabbed Remus's wrists, pulling him hastily into the living room.
"OoOoh! Logie's taking charge now, is he?" Remus teased and giggles ensued shortly after. Logan hugged and rolled his eyes, an amused smile tugging ever-so-slightly at the corner of his lips.
"Indeed I am, Remus." Logan said, pushing Remus onto the couch and sitting beside him. "Now. Tell me. What do you remember?"
"I dunno!" Remus exclaimed, jumping right back up as soon as Logan finished his question. "Say, what does this regurgitaterator do?" he asked as he ran back into the kitchen and Logan heard him climb onto the refrigerator again, causing him to let out a slightly frustrated sigh.
"Do you have amnesia or something? It's a refrigerator and the thing you broke earlier is called a lightbulb. Not a regurgitaterator and a bulbous object." Logan explained as he quickly returned to the kitchen in time to watch Remus jump off the fridge and open in wildly. Logan saw his eyes go wide with wonder as the light turned on.
"How do you keep all this food in such good condition? This refrigerator must be witchcraft. Tell me, Logan, are you a witch? Or do you perhaps know a witch that did this for you?" Remus went on a small tangent after a few moments of silent awe. Logan processed whatever it was he just heard and began trying to formulate an answer.
"No...It's not witchcraft, and I don't know a witch nor am I one." He started, earning an even more confused look from Remus. Logan then went on to explain how a refrigerator worked, which sparked many more questions about what certain things like electricity was from Remus.
These questions only made the question Logan had been asking this whole time grow even louder in his head. What happened to Remus? And why didn't he know about basic things like lightbulbs and refrigerators at his age?
Well technically it was two but right now Logan wasn't particularly concerned about the small details.
Only twenty minutes had passed but now Remus was jumping on the couch with Xander, both giggling madly and grinning incredibly widely. Patton looked like he could have a nervous breakdown at any moment and Logan wasn't that far off from being the same, he was just better at concealing the outward signs.
Which wound up being for nothing as Logan made a small noise of concern when Remus almost flung himself into the wall. Remus seemed to notice this reaction from Logan and he smirked at him.
"Ooooooh~ Is Logie-Bear worried about little old me?" Remus teased, temporarily stopping his bouncing. Xander looked over and gasped, grinning wider somehow.
"Logan likes Remus! Logan like Remus!" The small boy chanted, bouncing in a circle. This earned a flustered huff from Logan.
"No, I do not. I simply view Remus as a...closer acquaintance." Now it was apparently Patton's turn to gasp, which he did and effectively drew Logan's attention. "What?"
"You mean...my Lolo's making new friends?" Patton squealed, practically buzzing with excitement. Logan internally groaned and suppressed an embarrassed look.
"I...guess?" Logan mumbled, crossing his arms absentmindedly. He saw Remus frown and looked over. Quickly correcting himself, he said "I-I mean, it's too early to know. I've only known Remus for a couple of hours and during those hours we haven't really sat down and...gotten to know each other?"
"You mean I have to sit in order to be your friend? Damn. That sucks." Remus groaned but reluctantly sat down. This startled Logan as he didn't think Remus wanted to be his friend. "What? Come sit we need to be friends."
Patton squealed again and Xander began jumping in circles again, both absolutely ecstatic. Logan picked up Xander and put him on the floor.
"Please do not jump on the couch. You will hurt yourself." Logan warned before sitting beside Remus. He looked over to see him on the verge of tears from excitement. "Okay- uh- do not cry. I am er...sorry?" Logan put his hands on Remus's shoulders, patting his head robotically.
Remus laughed and hugged Logan, who quickly squirmed away. "No thank you. No hugs." Logan cleared his throat. He didn't like hugs...not since that thing had happened. Remus frowned a little.
"Why not?" Logan heard Patton wince and he sighed softly.
"A topic for another time, Remus." He explained while giving Remus a pat on the shoulder.

It had been three hours since Remus and Logan sat down to talk. They talked for a bit and figured out that Remus had somehow time traveled from 1743 to 2020. Remus almost passed out from shock again but Logan, somehow, soothed him enough to prevent that from happening.
They talked until Xander came in and began complaining that he was hungry. So, Logan stood and went to the kitchen.
"I suppose I should start on dinner." Logan said, opening the refrigerator. This earned a confused and awestruck gasp from Remus so, Logan turned to investigate. "Yes?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You mean you know how to cook?" Remus asked, bouncing in his seat and quite obviously excited about something.
"Yes. I do. Do you not know how to cook, Remus?" Logan informed. This earned yet another awestruck gasp from Remus.
"Teach me teach me teach me!" Remus bear-crawled over, getting there in three leaps? Strides? Logan decided strides was the proper word for that odd movement. Anyways, he bear-crawled over in three strides, bouncing up and hopping up and down in excitement where he now stood.
After an hour and thirty minutes had passed, Patton and Xander had left so Patton could bring Xander home, and Logan and Remus were sitting across from each other at the table, an only slightly burnt plate of grilled sandwiches in front of both of them. Remus was grinning from ear to ear as he picked up the sandwich and tore a piece off to shove in his mouth.
"WoAhh! This is good!" The princely man said through a mouthful of food. Logan sighed and shook his head.
"Please keep your mouth closed while you have food in it." Logan picked up his sandwich and took a bite of it. He gave Remus a look as said man licked crumbs off the plate despite still having the majority of his sandwich right next to them. Logan was deeply perplexed but continued eating anyways.
This man seemed to be turning out to be quite the handful to manage. But, Logan had babysat before so he was fairly confident he'd be able to manage.
Crash.
"Remus did you just break the plate?"
"Maybe..?"
