Logan had left Remus at Patton's house with Xander, Patton, and the two boys' parents. Remus and Xander were in Xander's room upstairs playing together, Xander having to explain almost everything to Remus before he too joined in on the eight year old's chaos. Though, their playing was short lived and Xander went to bed around eight o' clock.

That leaves...Remus counted the remaining hours on his fingers. Three and a half hours until Logan comes back. He skipped downstairs and to Patton's room, knocking briefly before opening the door. Patton turned around at his desk and smiled at Remus, closing his...laptop! That's the word. He closed his laptop.

"Hi Remus! What's up?" Remus sighed and walked inside. He pouted and huffed as he sat beside Patton's desk.

"I miss Logiieeee.." He whined, earning an almost amused chuckle from Patton. Remus watched as he stood from his chair, pushed it in, and then sat with his legs crossed in front of him. Remus copied his position.

"Well, I'll tell you what. Logan's shift ends in..." He paused, looking around for his clock to see the time.

"Three and one-half hours." Remus finished, drawing Patton's attention back to the conversation.

"Alright. Well, if you can wait for two and one-half hours, we can go visit Logan at work and wait for him to finish there." Remus perked up at that suggestion. He grinned widely and started bouncing up and down slightly.

"Okay! Deal!" Remus put his hand out for Patton to shake. The latter took it and shook it firmly but with a bit of bounce.

"Deal." Patton nodded, smiling at Remus. He stood up and went back to his desk. "Uhmm..wanna watch cartoons while you wait?" he suggested, opening his laptop back up.

"Cartoons..? Oh! Xander explained these to me! They're like...moving drawings on the TB!" Remus tilted his head when Patton giggled.

"It's a TV, Remus. And yes. That's a cartoon. Do you wanna watch one?"

"Yeah! Xander said his favorite was called uhm...oh! Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman! Right? With the little dog, he said?"

"Oh yeah, him. Alright, yeah!" Patton walked over to the TV he had sitting on his dresser and turned it on before returning to his desk. He clicked some buttons on his laptop and suddenly there was a picture of Ruff up on the screen. Remus's eyes widened with awe when the saw it.

"Woah...so you mean you can do this at anytime with the- the interact?" He asked, now sat a few feet back in front of the dresser to watch the show.

"The internet. And yes, I can." Remus jumped as he heard a voice come from somewhere. It was unfamiliar but they sounded very happy..? It wasn't Patton..not his dad either. Oh it was a male voice, by the way. He looked up at the TV and saw that it was Ruff talking. He jumped to his feet.

"Woah!! Ruff can talk too?? I thought he was just moving pictures!!" Patton giggled and smiled.

"Mhm. Now shhh. Xander's sleeping and I have some more homework I have to work on before class tomorrow. Watch Ruff and then we can see Logan." And watch Ruff he did. He became so absorbed in the cartoon/game show mix that he almost didn't notice when Patton told him it was time to go see Logan.

Remus jumped up and cheered, quickly being shushed and reminded by Patton. He nodded and slapped a hand over his mouth, earning a chuckle and an eye roll from his friend? Was Patton his friend. Oh whatever they were friends, whether the light-blue-polo-wearing man liked it or not!

Remus was ecstatic the entire drive to Logan's workplace. He kept asking questions about the car and how it worked as well as questions about the rest of the world. The moment they got there, Remus fruitlessly attempted to unbuckle his seatbelt. He huffed and scowled at the belt.

"Press the button, Remus." Patton said, demonstrating by pressing the red button on his own seatbelt. Remus's eyes widened with awe and he nodded quickly, excitedly pressing the button. the seatbelt whipped up and almost hit him in the face, causing him to yelp.

"Okay! Let's go let's go!" Remus pulled off the thickly woven black belt and jumped out of the car. Patton quickly followed him, seeming to be worried. "What's wrong, Pop-star?" he asked, closing his door with much more care than he thought possible of himself.

"Nothing! It's just...this part of the city is notorious for having sketchy people who might um...take you and be mean." Patton explained glancing over his shoulders and over Remus's as well. He cleared his throat and walked over to Remus, grabbing his hand. "Stay close. I don't want to lose you."

Some help that was. Patton had looked away for one second and now Remus was gone. Without a trace. He had told Remus the address of the restaurant Logan worked at so he hoped that when he got there that he'd find Remus, but he only found Logan at the host counter.

"Good evening and welcome to Lucifer's, my name is Logan and I will be your ho- Patton...What's wrong? You seem...distressed?" Logan frowned after he looked up and saw Patton. Did he really look that bad? Whatever! It wasn't about him! It was about Remus. He was missing after all. God, he was a terrible babysitter, wasn't he?

"...Patton?" Logan's voice drew Patton from his thoughts. "Where's Remus?"

"I-I lost him! I'm sorry! I told him we'd come an hour before your shift ended so- so we did! And- I looked away cause I heard a noise and I turned back around and Remus was gone!"

"Shhh, shh. Keep your voice down. It's okay. We'll find him. Where were you when he disappeared?"

Remus was scared. He was so so very scared. He was surrounded by these people in dark cloaks and white masks. But they weren't purely white. Some had black smeared on them, some had splatters of red, and others had weird..white stuff on them. He had woken up god knows how long ago with his arms covered in carved in pictures and blood running down them. His ankles, wrists, elbows, and thighs had been tied together so he knew he had no chance of escape.

He wanted to scream but his throat closed up and he instead let out a pitiful squeak. He expected at least one of the figures to laugh or react even slightly, but they didn't. Their gaping black circles of eyes just stared into him, seeing all his sins and doubts and thoughts, and their hidden bodies stayed perfectly still, arms at their sides.

Suddenly, right in front of Remus, four of the figures stepped aside like a double door opening and a figure dressed in full red stepped out of the darkness and into the light of the large fire burning behind him. Remus began to shake and whimper, tears spilling quickly from his eyes. He was going to die.

He was going to die.

He found his voice and let out an earsplitting scream, hunching forward and closing his eyes tightly. He screamed and screamed as loud as he could. He could tell they were in a forest and it looked vaguely familiar.

He hoped it was where he's met Logan and there were people here. He screamed and screamed until he was smacked over the head by the figure in red, efficiently shutting him up.

Help me.
