One day, I sent my brother to get some text books from Vickie. Since her house was near mine and I was doing some work, I sent him.

But when he came back without any book, I asked him what happened.

He told me her brother opened the door and said, "She's not home. She's gone for her extra tuition for maths"

And then her mother came too, and she said the same thing, "She's gone for maths class and will come after an hour or so"

I was so much disappointed. And before I could say anything my mother spoke, "See, I told you she's very clever. You consider her your best friend and tell her everything. She didn't even tell you about this"

I said, "Whatever. I don't care"

But I did care. I was hurt.

Next day, when we were going to school together, I waited for any reaction or change in behavior or something. But I didn't get anything.

She was being completely normal.

And I didn't confront her either. I didn't say anything about it.
Just played along. Being the same as usual.

_______

So, this part is kind of difficult to explain. But I'm gonna try.

The teachers, or faculty members for 9th and 10th grade students were different than 11th and 12th grade students.

And the latter were not very good or as qualified as they were needed to be.

So, all the students of 10th grade were going to take admission somewhere else. In some other school.

Same was going to happen to us. When we would pass 10th grade, we'd change the school.

And since they had to go through so much, they at least deserved a 'Farewell Party'

So, we decided to organize one for them. Actually they were involved too. They wanted to do something for the school as well.

Basically, we were to do everything for them, and they would do for teachers.

We contributed and bought gifts for all of them.

We decorated the venue, arranged food, DJ, and some couplets or short poems to describe every student, along with a song that would suit their personality.
Some dares, and games were organised for them, too.

They bought gifts for all the teachers and for school, as in any cupboard or something.

And they made some couplets and songs for the teachers too.

It was a perfect chance for them to either tease the teachers or trouble the ones who troubled them all these years.

At the end of the day, Mr. Farewell and Ms. Farewell were to be chosen.

The criteria was simple. The one to actively participate in everything, well dressed and all, would be the winner.

Ms. Josie told us everything. And she helped us writing the couplets and deciding the gifts. She was too good at this.
