Friendship Cause Heartbreaks Too

Chapter - 14

It was Alice's birthday and we planned to celebrate it in the school only.
We couldn't bring the cake, so instead there were many pastries.

We joined the pastries, put the candle and lit it.

Mr. Asher and Ms. Josie were there too. They were the only people who were close to us.

After the incident with Ms. Josie, Vickie still talked to her as if she didn't cut her picture into pieces and threw it away. She behaved as usual, like everything was completely fine and she wasn't upset or pissed at her.

And that day too, she was completely normal with her.
We all wished Alice and then shared some pastries and other snacks. Some of us even ruined her face with the icing.

After that, Ms. Josie had to do some work, so she went out.

We continued the celebration. Mr. Asher clicked pictures with us girls. They were not very clear but they were memories.

When I came home, I edited those pics and put them on my WhatsApp Display Picture space.

Next day, we were attending the class when our new principal, Mrs. Maryam came into the classroom.
She asked us about the celebration and all.
We told her, yes, we did it.

Then she asked about the pictures being clicked with Mr. Asher.

Initially, we denied. But then, shockingly, she showed us the picture and asked us again.

Now, that was shocking because she wasn't added in my contact list and only the ones who were added, could see my DP.

So how did she get it? No idea.

We asked her the same question, and she said she's not answerable to us.

We guessed it was someone from my contact, who was also, in her contact.
Nobody from my friend circle would do that.

And since, we weren't talking to Arianna and were blatantly ignoring her, we guessed it was her.

Anyway, she had the picture and Mr. Asher was in trouble. Clicking pictures with students might not be a problem outside the school property, but doing so on the school grounds, was probably not allowed or something. I don't know.

I put it on my DP because it felt safe. I didn't know someone would betray me or steal my picture like that.

After a while, when Mr. Asher came to the class, he was not in a good mood. Quite bad actually. Mrs. Maryam said a lot of things to him in front of other teachers. And maybe warned him too.

She made it a big deal out of nothing. Like it was a court case, and she had to question everyone about it.
She made him feel ashamed.

And he was then upset with me. I tried reasoning that I didn't know this would happen or that someone would steal my pic. He said it was okay but didn't behave like that.

Vickie reprimanded too. She said, "It wasn't necessary to put it up on DP. We were doing okay without it" in a slight mocking tone and then she'd chuckle as if she didn't say anything rude. As if she said it as a joke and I wouldn't realise it.
