As I mentioned earlier, Vickie had a Facebook account. And it turned out that Sanya had one too. We were just discussing about social medias when they told me.

And just like that, Sanya and Vickie encouraged me to make one of mine too. And I did.

I made an account but when I was using it, I didn't find it interesting. I got bored. They'd message me, send me something, but I'd forget to log in and see them.

I was kind of repulsed.
And then, Sanya started teasing me about the friend requests. Apparently, they must have gotten many friend requests when they first made their account.
But I didn't get many. Just a couple here and there.

It went on for quite some time. And I still wasn't fascinated by it.

It was when I found an old friend of mine in the list of 'people you may know' that I took interest.

It was Dave. He was in the same school with me and Vickie and others in 6th and 7th grade.

Under his name was written 'mutual friend'. I asked Vickie what does that mean. She told me that someone who's friends with your friends on FB.

And at that moment, Vickie was my only friend. Sanya had an account too, but she had deactivated it. So she wasn't using it back then.

I said, "You're my only friend, so how's that possible. He's a mutual friend, that is?"
She just shrugged her shoulders.

I asked if she had accepted his friend request, to which she replied, "No, definitely not. He's not in my friend list"

I didn't believe her obviously. It was clear that she was lying. I just didn't confront her.

Anyway, after that, I accepted some requests from strangers too. I started talking to them and used the application more.

There was this boy, Shaun. He was a mutual friend, so I accepted his request. And talked to him.

Just basic talks like where does he live, or education or favorites and all.

Then, his cousin I think, Ajax sent me the request. I accepted his too. Initially he was nice, but then he got creepy and I unfriended him.

I did all of this after asking Vickie about it. Whether to accept the requests or not, talk to them or not.

But Shaun was still my friend. And Vickie was much closer to him than I.

Though I was using it, I still didn't waste my time there. Just for 10 minutes and then back to old routine.

But gradually, more requests got accepted, and got more people to talk to, without actually facing any awkwardness.

We sent requests to some guy friends too. And then, Mr. Asher and Ms. Josie were added. It was like the app was recently developed. We used it more and more to talk to everyone.

And couple of months passed.

______

It was Ms. Josie's birthday. We decided to give her a gift.

So, we made a card with all of her pictures in it.
When we were crafting it, something went wrong and my OCD came forward. I didn't like messing it.

Vickie said, "Okay! Don't be so annoying. We don't know how to do it. You can do better. Do it yourself."
Note the sarcasm, when she said 'we don't know how to do it. You can do better.' as if mocking me.

I kept quiet and kept working on it to make it better.
I took it with me to my home and did everything.
And then took it back to school to keep it in the cupboard.

Next was the gift. So we decided to frame her picture.

We selected a picture, in which she was wearing a tiara and took it to the shop. We told the man everything we wanted.

And on the way back, we went to her home. She wasn't there though, but we got to meet her mother. And her mother's so beautiful even at such an old age.

When she was about to go back I said, "Well, You're very beautiful! Ms. Josie got her features from you"

She chuckled and said, "Thank you, dear"

I still remember every second of that meeting.
It was so new and so giddy feeling. Meeting a teacher's mother and complimenting her.

On the way back to home, Vickie talked about Shaun. Actually complained.
And back then I didn't think anything about it, but now that I remember, I can definitely say, she sounded like his girlfriend.

I mean, when a girl complains about her boyfriend, about every little thing.
"First he didn't reply me, and when he did, he just wrote two words!" Kind of complains.

I just heard her and hummed and agreed with her.

After a couple days, we went to the shop again to take the photo frame, but he wasn't there and we couldn't get it. So we told the man who was there, to deliver it to the school.

And on the way back home, we again went to meet Ms. Josie.

This time, she was home, giving extra tuitions to her students.
She was surprised to see us and we were very happy too.
We wished her 'happy birthday' in advance.
And though her mother already knew us, she introduced us again.

It was so very nice!

Next day was the birthday. We gave her gifts and some boys gifted her Ray Ban sunglasses, to which she said, "I was expecting the card but I definitely didn't expect other things.

Thank you so much"

We were glad to know she wasn't expecting it and that she was happy.
She treated us and we clicked pictures together.

It was a joyous day.
