Santana looked at herself in the mirror, pleased with the result. She was over her baby bump and was back to praising her own looks.
She grabbed her boots and heavy winter coat before blowing out. She went to pick up Brittany and then went to the Fabrays' home, where the New Year's Eve party was being held.
They went inside and saw everything sparkled. It was like peering into a diamond.
The Arieses went throughout the large house for someone they knew and came across Marc in the dining room, filling up punch in two cups. "Hi, Marc!"
He grinned. "What's up?!"
"You look good!" Santana eyed him.
His big head got bigger. "Why thank you!"
"Are your sisters here?!" Brittany wondered.
"Yeah! Let me drop this off to Laura and I'll show you! Grab some food!" He left.
He didn't need to tell Santana twice! She grabbed a clear plate to start picking up hors d'oeuvres to put on the plate.
Brittany grabbed punch.
Marc came back quick enough and showed the two girls to the den. Mercedes and Quinn yelled at seeing their friends.
Santana and Brittany yelled back.
Marc smirked before escaping.
Mike grimaced.
The girls made a bunch of noise and talked a mile a minute.
He sipped his champagne, knowing he was going to need it.
"You look so good!" Mercedes praised both.
Santana and Brittany beamed. "You too!"
Mercedes and Quinn beamed back. "Thank you!"
P.S.
Artie rolled into the party. He'd just left Parker's family's party and was ready to relax. He went into the living room and saw Marcy. "BT!"
Marcy looked up from playing a gambling game with a few young (and not so young) men. She took her turn and won. "Run my blunt!"
The men grumbled but handed over her earnings.
"Buh-bye!" She counted the cash. "What's up, RT?!"
"Girl, why you runnin these men's money?!" Artie rolled closer.
"Always get paid!" She put the money away.
"Your kids are watchin!"
"Always get paid!" She told Mally, who was indeed watching.
Mally beamed. "Okay!"
Artie shook his head with a rueful smirk. "Who's all here?!"
Marcy shrugged. "Don't care!"
"BT!" He laughed.
"I don't!"
He snickered madly. "Let's get a drink! I know you're thirsty!"
"I am!" She lifted a shoulder. "Come on, Poppa!"
Mally slid off his perch and took his mom's hand.
The trio went to the dining room for drinks. Artie got champagne while Marcy and Mally got punch.
"Where's Mal and the kids?!" Artie wondered.
Marcy shrugged as she knocked her punch back like it was a shot of tequila.
