Artie wheeled into the coffee shop with Santana and Brittany right behind him. They got in line for food and drink. The girls got green juice smoothies while he of course got coffee. All three got coffee cake.
They went to a set of couches and sat. Nobody spoke as they were quite hungry and just wanted to focus on their meal.
Before long, Parker showed up. She spotted her boyfriend and ran to him. "Hi, Artie!"
"Hey, Parker." Artie patted her arm around his neck. "Have a seat."
Parker sat in a chair. "Hi, Santana, Brittany."
"Hey." The duo muttered.
Parker pouted. She didn't know why but all of a sudden, Santana and Brittany couldn't seem to stand her. They'd always been on okay terms before, especially since she and Santana were on the volleyball team together but for some odd reason, they stopped tolerating her. It made her sad.
Artie could tell she was getting sad over their treatment of her and wanted to call it off. He made the mistake of looking at Brittany, who was already glaring at him as if she knew he was weakening. "I think we should break up, Parker."
Parker's eyes popped open. "What?! Why?!"
He was hoping she didn't ask him that. "It's not you-"
"Yes, it is." Santana cut in. "It's you and how you're not us."
"Us?!" Parker repeated dumbly as she cried.
"Us!" Brittany reconfirmed. "We're going to have Artie's babies."
"What?!"
Artie winced as everyone in the shop turned to look. "Par-"
"You got them pregnant?!" Parker shot up.
"Park-"
She hauled off and slapped him. Then she stormed out, stating quite clearly, "I hate you, Artie Abrams!"
The whole coffee place was silent.
Artie felt low but Brittany was now satisfied. "Where do you want to go next?"
P.S.
"It was awful, bro." Artie moaned.
"You took her to a public place." Mike messed around under the hood of Rhonda.
"I know but I thought she wouldn't trip. She tripped."
Mike smirked. "I'm sorry."
"No, you're not."
"I'm not."
Artie gasped. "How can you say that?!"
"Because I know how you feel about Santana and Brittany. You should have stuck with breaking up with Parker the first time."
"You're mean."
Mike gave him a withering look.
The door leading from the garage to the house opened and Marcy came outside. "Hey? Why'd you call me? I was trying to sleep."
"It's like two in the afternoon."
"My phone works perfectly, Chang. I wanted to sleep in."
"Until two?"
"Until I felt like getting up."
"You have kids."
"That have nannies."
"Like our nannies?"
"No. These are competent women."
Mike snickered. "Why do you want to sleep so late?"
