A/N: the picture is where i'm pretending their camp is. I know in story Arthur says outside of Blackwater and this is Tall Trees. whatever. it's a little east of the Aurora Basin. you could probably find it if you really wanted but i'll put a picture of where it is on the map if you're interested. on to what you're really here for: the story!

WORD COUNT: 1463

WARNINGS: I mean Sean's language but y'all knew that anyways.

"By the way, I like you, I do," the red-haired Irishman said. "I really do. I'm developing a sort of friendship for ya, Adelia."

I chuckled and nodded. "I could say the same about you," I replied.

"Adelia, ya know my gang? Led by the one and only Dutch Van der Linde? I think he'd appreciate someone with your talents."

"Oh, really? Please do tell," I smirked.

"Well, for starters, you helped me out with a ton of jobs; Dutch would love that bit. Not to mention your excellent shooting," he added.

"I guess I'll go meet him. What could go wrong?"

"Ah, that's my girl."

I mounted Leo, my grullo dun Mustang stallion, and followed Sean out of his small camp outside Blackwater.

"We're camped near Tall Trees. The Skinner Brothers live around there; we've had a couple run-ins with them, but thankfully no lasting issues."

"Mhm. So what're y'all doin' out here? Heading to New Austin?"

"Yep. Dutch has big plans. He wants to get some land out west for us all to live on. Dutch wants to rob the bank in Blackwater, but we only got here a coupla days ago. I reckon it won't be long until we do hit the bank." Sean paused. "Ah, here's Manzanita Post. You can catch a stage headin' in or out a coupla times a day if you wanna get somewhere. You can also pick up some supplies here without headin all the way to Blackwater."

"Interesting. So how much further?"

"We're near the Aurora Basin. Ya know where that is?"

"No, actually," I chuckled. "I mean, I've been out here doin' jobs for you an' all, but I haven't been in this area much. You usually send me up near Strawberry or MacFarlane's Ranch."

"Ah, right. Well, it's a pretty large lake. There's good hunting around there. This feller that joined up with us a couple months ago, Charles, he loves it around here."

"Huh, so how many people have joined up since you last talked to me about them?"

"Three, I think. Charles, this rat-faced chap called Micah, and this sweet lassie Jenny."

"Damn, what'd Micah do to offend you?"

"Oh, he's just a fucking asshole to everyone in camp except Dutch."

I smothered a giggle as we trotted along the path. I had to admit, this area was rather charming. Sean had brought up the fact that there were black bears around a while ago, but Leo was a steady horse. I'd trust him with my life. Sean, on the other hand, I most definitely would not. Despite us being around the same age, Sean was a hundred times more reckless. He almost never thinks before he speaks. And he talks a lot. I had tuned out Sean half the ride here, only offering small nods of affirmation to pretend I was listening.

"Adelia? Are ya there?" An Irish accent cut into my thoughts.

"Oh, yeah. Sorry, I got lost in my thoughts an' all." I waved my hands about in the air as if I was clearing away said thoughts. "If I'm really bein' honest, I'm a little anxious about meeting your gang. What if they don't like me? What if Dutch decides I'm useless?"
