I waited on the stairs until they finished talking. When I came back Nala was sitting on the couch brushing her hair into a ponytail. Jasper was back on the bean bag chair shadow boxing. I tried reading his mind, to see what they were talking about, but it felt like something was blocking me from it. It was pointless to try Nala, every time I try, I get nothing but random things that don't make any sense. I decided to play dumb and wait until she tells everyone all together.

"So what exactly did you want everyone up for," I finally asked her, leaning against the wall.

"Um, hold on let me finish my hair," she said still brushing her hair.

"Nala, you and I both know, that you know how to talk and keep the world from falling. Is it so important that you need to have every undivided attention available to say it?"

"Yes," she said strongly, looking at me from the corner of her eye.

I didn't say anything after that. Stiles came down to the basement first sitting next to Nala, whispering to her. Ro came down next, going straight to the fridge getting water from it. He drank it so fast you would think he never had a single drop of water his whole life. I thought Tamara would've came down right afterward or with him, 8 minutes passed and she still wasn't down here yet. I knew whatever Nala had to say was going to be done when everyone were down here.

"Where's Tamara," I asked Ro finally when he was down drinking 4 bottles of water.

"I honestly don't know, after you came in she left to go to her room and hasn't came out yet," he told only loud enough that I heard him.

"I'll go get her, it's the least I could do. If I'm not back in 5 minutes then come up."

He nodded and sat on the floor leaning against the wall in the corner. He looked like he was about to go back to sleep any minute.

When I in Nala's old room, I knocked on the door, no answer. I knocked again still no answer. I didn't really want to barge in, my mom, even though she was a pain at times taught me better then that, but I had no choice. I turned the knob, thankful it was unlocked and walked in. Tamara was sitting on the floor with her head in her knees, not making much noise.

"Hey Tamara everyone is downstairs waiting for you to come down," I told her, slowly walking to her.

"Luca do you feel lost," she asked with her head still down.

"Yeah. Everyone feels lost sometimes, it's just life. Why ask?"

"Because I feel lost, like I shouldn't be here right now. I told Ro that last night and that I wanted to leave," she starting sniffling," like I understand that we're helping Nala and all, but where's my help. My parents are gone and I need to find them too. I don't think anyone would leave their daughter like that. It just doesn't make sense."

She was clearly upset and I didn't know what the first thing to say to her was. "It's a mysterious world, nothing makes sense. Hell I don't even know where I live and that should make sense to everybody. All I know is that it's America and this is earth. I don't remember being taught where exactly I live, just the coordinates of my house that's it.

But don't ever think that we wouldn't help you, with finding your parents. You're with us now and we'll be your family until you find yours and decide you want to be with them. We're all a bunch of misfortunate kids. Hell we might as well get plaque and call this The City Of Misfortune," I told her.

She laughed a little bit and looked up at me smiling. I stood up holding my hand out to help her stand. She got up and wiped her face, looking away from me.

"Come on before, Ro, comes up here and cause a scene."

When we finally had everyone down in the basement, Nala told us about her plan she had discussed with Jasper last night. I'm not going to lie, I didn't like the plan what if he was tricking us.
