The next morning I woke up sweating profusely. I thought I was in a puddle or someone just poured water all over me. It was that bad. I looked over to see if Nala was too, she wasn't. She was glistening though, which was even weirder in my opinion.
I tried to touch her to see if it was sweat or something. As soon as I put my hand on her I pulled back. She was burning up, not like a fever burning up, but like if I had my hand in lava. She was sound asleep, I didn't know if I should wake her or just leave her there. I sat
there confused contemplating on what to do.I wish you would wake up, I thought looking at her. To my surprise she did, and had a scared look on her face.
"Don't do that, that's creepy. How did you do that," she asked.
"I don't even know what I did. But you were burning." I looked down and pulled at my shirt. "I don't sweat like this. I'm literally soaked."
"Sorry, bad dream. I think I'm good now. Check." I did, she was normal again. I nodded to say she was okay. "Good. Now how'd you do that creepy thing." The look on my face must've told her I was still confused on what she was talking about. "I was sleeping- obviously- and I heard you say wake up but it wasn't like a voice. It was different, it's wasn't like if someone says 'wake up' out loud. It was quiet but freaky loud. I don't know how to explain it."
I didn't know how to explain it either. How do you tell someone that they heard your thoughts while they're sleeping.
I looked over at her, she was walking over to dresser. I focused as much as I could to repeat whatever I did. Nala can you hear me.
"Yes," she said it like it was obvious.
I let out a sound of disbelief. Nala my mouth is not moving. Look at me. She did. You're listening to me think.
Finally I had something to freak her out. This should be fun. It wasn't the fact she could read minds now, she couldn't. It's was the fact that I can project my voice into her mind now.
"I don't like that, it's creepy." She grabbed onto her head. "And it's gave me a headache."
"Anyways what were you dreaming of that you had to set me on fire," I asked trying to switch the topic back.
"Can't remember now, honestly. I just know it had Death and Chaos in it. I think they were fighting, but I'm not for sure."
That gave me a chill down my spine. "Nala you control Choas and Chaos doesn't approve of that, remember. Don't forget that it does want you dead. Maybe it was trying to kill you."
"Oh,"She shifted uneasily. "I remember. So if you didn't wake me Id probably be burning from the inside out and dead. Uh can you not tell anyone about that. Don't want them freaking out you know."
I held up the okay sign and left out the room to check on Jasper.
Downstairs he was having one bad ass puke storm going on. Before I reached the bottom I saw someone standing next to him with its back to me. I moved back out of their view, debating whether or not to go all the way down. The person next to him, I couldn't tell if it was a girl or boy. It had shoulder length black hair, a gray jacket and jeans on. Best bet was to go with guy on this one.
Finally making up my mind I went down, knocking on the wall. Whoever the guy was pulled a gun out and held it up to my head, pushing me in the corner.
"Who are you,"he demanded, sounding like an older version of Jasper.
"Will you put the gun away before you shoot yourself. It's already bad you left the reservation," Jasper said taking a break from puking. The guy didn't budge. Jasper let out a sound of irritation. "Tohopka put it down." Whatever his name was rolled his eyes before putting the gun down.
