"Hey boss," You teased Harry, "will you give me today off?"

He rolled his eyes and shoved you playfully before turning back to the front desk. He was setting up a room for the couple who were passed out on some chairs nearby. You didn't blame them, they were flying constantly and that wears out everyone.

You scanned around the lobby of the fancy hotel, taking in the scene of unparalleled wealthiness that you may never achieve. There were large glass panes in place of doors at the entrance. Lavish carpet covered the floor, and various abstract paintings hung on the walls. Flowers in a vase on the pristine front desk, and a pretty boy behind the said desk. Even the staff uniforms seemed high-class. The kind you saw in movies.

"Wow," you breathed the word out in awe. You didn't imagine ever being in a hotel like this, even if you weren't staying there. You shook yourself out of your daze, and returned to the sleeping pair. You took the seat next to them, right beside Robbie. Placing a hand on his shoulder, you gently shook him awake. He stirred, stirring Nico in the process. They woke up, sleepily saying 'huh?' in sync.

"Harry's almost done, and I don't want to carry you up the stairs." Robin smiled, wiping the sleep from his eyes. Nico grumbled, running his hand through his always messy hair.

"Did you say something Nico?"

"I didn't say nothing." You chuckled at his reply.

You noticed Harry coming over to you three, holding a pair of keycards for the hotel guests beside you. He handed it over to them before giving a hand to help you stand. You took it and, in turn, gave a hand to Robbie and Nico each.

They took your hands and stood, grabbing some of their luggage. You took the rest, though it was a little more than comfortable to carry. Harry noticed while you were all walking to the elevator, and of course pointed it out.

"You're carrying too much, let me help."

"No your highness, I want to carry them all. I'm technically supposed to be working now." You edged away from his outstretched hands, protectively holding the remaining bags. He huffed, moving closer to you. You stepped away.

"Let me help."

"No way boss, I'm doing my job."

"I'm not your boss, and you're not in work. So let me help."

You were stubborn, and continued the one-step game you had going on with Harry.

"Oi lovebirds. The elevator's here." You were brought out of the mini-confrontation by Nico's annoyed voice, and the ding of the lift. You went back to them, avoiding the range of Harry's arms so as not to risk losing any of the luggage to him. However, in doing so, you tripped on your feet and nearly fell.

Regaining your composure swiftly, you walked into the elevator behind your engaged friends. You could hear Nico stifling a snicker behind his hands, and elbowed him accordingly. He let out an 'oof' of pain. Harry entered last, side-eyeing the bags you held but making no more moves to take them. The doors slid shut and the contraption began to rise.

The soft elevator music whispered out the unseen speakers. The brief ride was silent, only disturbed by the ding signalling arrival and the reopening of the doors. You hurried out taking in the scent of cleanliness and air conditioner. You wobbled a bit, readjusting the bags in your grip so nothing fell and gave Harry a chance to give you the 'I told you so' look.

"Which room?" You shuffled down the hallway, glancing at the door numbers as you passed by.

"Umm," Harry examined the the keycards for the number, "room 422."

You continued down the halls, oblivious to whether your friends were with you or not. '420, Nice. 421, 422.'

You heard Nico mutter from behind you. "I wish it was 420."

You turned back a minute to retort. "Hey, don't be like that. Cuz 422 is 420-too." He laughed tiredly before pushing you aside to open the door. Apparently the keycards were distributed without your knowing.

The door clicked and Nico pulled it open, revealing a large room. You fumbled in behind Nico, resting the bags on the cream-coloured sofa near the fluffy bed. You would've placed it on the bed but you assumed they just wanted to sleep above all else. You were right as Robin immediately flopped onto the bed, shedding his shoes in the process.

"Damn, I'm surprised you didn't pass out in elevator." You nudged the physically, mentally and emotionally drained carrot head. All that you heard was some grumbling as he curled up in a ball with a pillow between his arms.

"Fair enough."

Nico flopped down beside him, cuddling him and sighing contentedly. You fidgeted sheepishly, feeling as if you were intruding again. Harry, it appeared, felt the same way. He tugged your sleeve lightly, like a child politely trying to get the attention of their parent. You turned to him, humming in question.

"Let's go. I don't really wanna watch this."

You nodded in agreement, swivelling on your heel and marching towards the door. Harry followed you, shutting the door quietly once you both exited. He sighed, letting an unknown weight fall off his shoulders. You became concerned.

'Did he have something important today that he missed? Is he sick?'

"Is something wrong Harry?"

"No, just tired." He shook his head, taking your hand in his and leading you back to the lift.

"You sure? You can tell me."

"I'm sure, and I know."

"Have you been sleeping properly?" You pushed the call button for the elevator, still keeping your gaze on the man next to you.

"Uhh, yeaaah." You raised an eyebrow, "No."

"You need to sleep dude. Gotta keep that genius brain of yours healthy."

"Can't sleep." He shrugged dejectedly, already given up on the problem.

"Do I have to sleep with you or something?" You teased him in an attempt to cheer him up, not anticipating his response.

"Yeah, maybe that'll help." You were shocked, only barely registering the elevator doors opening. You shook yourself out of it, hopping into the empty metal box. As the door slid shut behind you two, you were uncomfortably aware of his presence.

"Seriously?" You questioned softly.

He didn't respond for a moment, contemplating how to answer. "Um..... Maybe, it'll help. Don't know until you try." He didn't know where this courage and bluntness came from. He hadn't been drinking, so what was this feeling in his chest? What was making him so bold and open, instead of his usual politeness and fake smiles?

"I uh.... Well, umm." You didn't know what to say. So you said nothing. The car ride back to Oscorp was quiet, it was awkward, but you were grateful for it. You needed the silence, and you wanted to think a bit.

"Bye Harry." You stood in front the entrance, deciding to take a cab straight home instead of just hanging out in Harry's fancy office for a bit.

"You're not gonna stay awhile?"

"No, I'm worn out so I'll head home."

He was about to let you go, but something in him decided otherwise. You felt a grip on your wrist. "Stay a bit."

"What?"

"Can you stay a while, please?" There was something else going on, but you didn't know what. However, the sad, almost begging look in his eyes convinced you to stay. To listen.

"Okay."
