This is set in the School Friends time period.

"Hey Harry! I have an idea! It'll be fun!" You bounced giddily as you waited for you best friend to open his room door. You had an idea for how to spend Christmas. You both ended up staying at the school for the holidays, so you might as well enjoy it, right?
The door swung open, revealing a tired and messy-haired Harry. "(Y/n) what time is it? I feel like it's too early for you to be this energetic..." He yawned, rubbing his eyes.
"But I have a really good idea on how to celebrate Christmas! And we need to be quick!"
"Alright alright, just give me a little bit to change and stuff." He walked back into his room and closed the door, leaving you to wait excitedly outside his door. You paced back and forth, wondering why he was taking so long. I mean, he wasn't actually taking long, but it felt like ages to you.
Finally, the door opened again, revealing a very cozy and bundled up Harry. You snatched his hand and began dragging him to the only place you two seem to go. The oak tree. What was under this oak tree, might you ask?
A box, apparently. A bunch of boxes actually, in varying sizes. One was particularly well wrapped, with a bow and an odd looking tag. A gift, obviously. The others had a bundles of lights, some odd shaped things on strings, and a fluffy string of coloured paper. There were also, of course, snacks.
You stopped before it and turned to your friend. "Surprise! Do you like it?"
He yawned, bleary-eyed. "What is it, (Y/n)?"
You huffed, a bit disappointed at his reaction. "I got some stuff from the decoration supplies the school has. I thought we could decorate our spot under the oak. For Christmas?"
At this point, your enthusiasm was like a deflated balloon. You shuffled towards the first box of decorations, and held them glumly. Harry, as always, noticed.
"I like it a lot (Y/n), it's just that I'm still half-asleep." he walked over to you and began picking things out of the box you were holding, "Help me hang this, will you?"
Your mood considerably brightened as you helped him. You hung the garlands, some baubles, even a bit of ribbon. At one point Harry tripped, which led to you laughing and also tripping on a box. This led to him laughing at you while you dusted off and helped him off.
"Hey (Y/n), why's there mistletoe in the box?" Harry held up the mentioned item. You squinted at it, also perplexed as to why it was there.
"I dunno, I don't remember putting it in there. I thought that was stored somewhere else altogether," You took the branch from him, turning it over in your hands and scrutinising it as if it would answer.
"What do you want to do with it?" he prodded the mistletoe as if it were a small animal.
"We could hang it if you want, or we could just leave it in the box. Whatever you want," You met gazes with him, shrugging about the situation. You couldn't be bothered either way. The tree looked wonderful already, and mistletoe wouldn't change that much.
Harry contemplated the dilemma frowning at the innocent branch. His face then relaxed as he came to a conclusion. "Let's just leave it in the box, we don't need it,"
"Okay!" You tossed it back into the box and continued about your day, out of sight, out of mind.
You plopped onto the floor, stretching happily. Harry sat beside you, admiring the finished project. The ornaments glittered above your heads, and the scent of the wood was calming.
