I had always been a strange kid. The one hidden in the background that no one ever really noticed. That was just how I was, having moved so many times as a child. I had all but given up on making friends out of fear that we would end up moving again.

I walked through the halls of my school towards my locker staying up against the wall. As I entered my combination and grabbed my books, I heard a voice I wasn't in the mood to hear.

"Well well well, if it isn't the freak." My bully, [B/N], said as I turned to face them. [B/N] was in my class two years ago and we had to tell the class about ourselves.

I still don't know what made me say it, but I had said that I had moved 10 times in my [Y/A] years of life. Some kids felt bad for me, some really didn't care too much, and one, [B/N], chose to make fun of me for it.

"What do you need, [B/N]? I asked quietly. "I need for you to-" [B/N] said but was interrupted by someone yelling at them. "Leave her alone, [B/N]!"

I shivered before falling to the ground. I didn't like to appear weak at school, but this was the first time someone had tried to protect me. It was overwhelming. I glanced up through my mess of hair to see who my savior was.

He wore an all-white outfit except for the tuff of turquoise around his neck and sea-green coat hanging off his shoulders along with a black tie and a yellow belt. His white hair was pulled forward into a side braid on his right shoulder.

[B/N] scoffed at him. "What do you want Gwyn?" They said. The boy, Gwyn, snarled. "I already told you. Leave her alone." He said fanning his arms out to guard me. My bully clicked their tongue before leaving.

Gwyn shook his head before kneeling down in front of me. "Are you okay?" He asked softly. I nodded. "Yeah. I'm fine." I spoke as he helped me stand. "I'm [Y/N], by the way." Gwyn nodded. "I know. We share the same math class." I smiled. "I remember." The bell rang and we both looked up. "I've got to go. Bye Gywn, and thank you."

After that, Gwyn and I started to hang out more. We were pretty much inseparable. When the school talent show rolled around he asked me if I would perform with him.

"Are you crazy?!" I squealed as I tumbled out of the chair I was on. "Ooof." Gywn smiled as he tried to hide his laugh. He had come over to help me with math homework when the subject was brought up.

"Nope. I'm serious, [N/N]. You have an amazing voice when you sing." I blushed slightly. I loved to sing. Gywn had come over one time and I wasn't paying attention.

I had been singing along with the radio as I cleaned my room. Gywn stood in the doorway for who knows how long listening before I noticed him and screamed.

I huffed before nodding. "Fine but you owe me big time." I said. Gywn smiled before we went back to doing homework.

The day of the show I was so nervous. It was just in the school gym, but with over a thousand students there it was like being on the world stage. "[N/N], calm down." Gywn said as he squeezed my hand. "It's just like a Bey Battle."

I glared at the albino. "This is nothing like a Bey Battle." I said as I started to panic. Gywn smiled softly as he wrapped his arms around me. "Just focus on me and you'll be fine. Just like at home." He muttered as our names were called.

I shuddered as we walked out to the center of the gym. Everyone was watching including [B/N]. "Focus on me." Gywn said as the music started.

We both let out a sigh of relief as we finished the song. The whole gym went quiet before erupting in cheers. I smiled as I glanced at Gywn who wore a bright smile too.

"That was awesome." I beamed as we headed back to my house. "Yeah it was." Gywn said but something seemed off. "Gywn? Is something wrong?" I asked as Gywn pulled me into a kiss. I froze for a second before I returned it.

We pulled away as oxygen became a problem. "I'm sorry." Gywn apologized. "I don't-" "Gywn." I interrupted. "It's fine. I love you too." The boy grinned before we walked into the house.
