When Zach notices his best friend Chloe Scott keeps coming home with bruises everytime she goes to her boyfriends house.

"Chicken tenders!" Zach practically yelled as the waiter set their food down at their table.
Chloe laughed at him as she started eating her food. She liked being here, it was just like the old days. She noticed Zach had ketchup on his cheek causing her to laugh at him.
"What?" He asked her completely clueless of the food on his face.
She pointed to his face and handed him a napkin. He missed the ketchup on purpose.
"You are so dumb!" Chloe yelled as she grabbed the napkin and wiped the ketchup off of his face.
"I knew where it was I just like making you do it." Zach replied playfully.
"Where are we going after this?" Chloe asked him.
"Another surprise." He said with a smirk.
"Ugh. You are the worst." Chloe said back to him.
"Excuse me? Who's taking you out on a fun day?" Zach asked as he pretended to be offended.
The waiter came to their table with the bill. Zach and Chloe both started getting their wallets out.
"You always pay, let me pay!" Chloe complained.
Zach shook his head. "I'm paying. This day is my treat." He said as he put his card on the table.
Chloe sighed and put her wallet away. "Whatever." She mumbled. "Thank you." She said softly.
The waiter came and took Zachs card and then gave it back to him. They both headed to Zach's car. Zach opened the door for Chloe and she turned and saw something she didn't want to see.
Her eyes landed on Chase and another girl making out in the parking lot. Her breath got caught in her throat as she tried to hold back tears.
"Come on Chloe lets just go." Zach said softly as he grabbed her hand and led her away from Chase.
Chloe didn't know how to react. She felt mad and sad at the same time. She was mad that he didn't take long to get over her. Did she mean nothing to Chase? Was she just a rag doll he could beat up?
"He's a piece of shit Chloe. Don't take it personally." Zach reassured her as they got into the car.
"It didn't take him long to move on." She mumbled.
"Don't think about him. He's in the past." Zach said as he started driving to his next destination.
"It still hurt to see him with someone else. I haven't had time to process the whole situation and he's already moved on." Chloe said as small tears formed under her eyes.
"People deal with breakups in different ways. He's trying to move on. Let's not dwell on him. Let's have a fun day." Zach said to Chloe.
"Okay." Chloe replied softly.
The two best friends arrived at a small park.
"You did not drive us here!" Chloe squealed as she got out of the park.
"We use to walk up here everyday after school." Zach said as he grinned at his friend.
"They have the best snow cones." Chloe said as she grabbed Zach's hand.
They sprinted to the swings. They sat on swings next to each other and started to swing. Chloe laughed as she looked at her best friend next to her.
Chloe hopped off her swing and waited for Zach. He jumped off from a high point off the swing. He tried to land but he tripped and fell over.
"Are you okay?" Chloe asked as she failed at holding in her laughter.
"Yeah I'm fine. Don't laugh at me!" Zach yelled as he picked Chloe up and spun her around.
She squealed as he spun her around. He finally set her down. They locked eyes as their faces were inches apart.
"I want a snow cone." Chloe said with a grin as she grabbed his hand.
"I already know you are going to get cherry." Zach said to her as she grinned.
"I already know you are going to get grape." Chloe replied as they walked up to the snow cone stand.
They both ordered and got their snow cones. Once again Zach and Chloe both tried to pay but Zach ended up refusing Chloes offer and paying.
They both sat on the curb and ate their snow cones. Zach grabbed Chloes spoon and took some of her snow cone and placed it into his mouth.
"Hey!" Chloe yelled.
"I just wanted to try it." He replied as he handed her spoon back to her.
"Let me try yours." She said as she grabbed his spoon and placed it into her mouth.
"Mines better." She said with a smirk.
"I disagree." Zach replied to her.
They both stared into each others eyes as they held there snow cone cups. Zach's lips were purple from the snow cone and Chloes were a dark shade of red. They glanced at each others lips and then quickly looked away from each other. Chloe wanted to kiss him but she couldn't let herself ruin their friendship. Zach wanted to kiss her but he didn't want to rush her after she just got out of a relationship.
