"You joining me or what?" Fortune asked me as she stepped into the shower. The water was hot and the bathroom was steamed.
Her hands rubbed my back and she kissed my neck. I turned around to look at her only to find tears streaming down her face. I lifted her face to meet her eyes but she kept them down.
"What's wrong?" I ask her. "You're gonna leave me. You're gonna find someone better and leave me, aren't you?" she sobbed. I pull her in for a hug and she doesn't resist.
"I'd never leave you," I assure her. "Do you promise, Maya?" she asked. "I promise," I respond. "Be my girlfriend," she says. Well, that was unexpected. "Yes," I say and her lips meet mine.

"I'll see you soon, you dumbass," I say to my cousin. "Try not to miss me too much, bitch," she respond and hugs me. Fortune and I say our final goodbyes to my family and head out.

"It's called Poem Dedication Night or something along those lines," Lesedi says. She was with Lea and Brook.
"So we basically go there all dressed up to eat and listen to people dedicate speeches or poems or whatever to the person they love. It really dumb but it's cute," Brooklyn tells us.
"Problem is, they can't mention any names. So you'll never know if the poem is for you or not," Lesedi says. Well, that's a bummer.
"It's super fun though. Starts at 18:00. See you two lovebirds later," Brooklyn says and they all leave.
Lea didn't say anything and she kept her eyes down the whole time. Something's wrong.
"Hey uhm... I have a few things to do. I'll come to your dorm at 16:55," Fortune says to me and gives me a kiss goodbye.
I need to talk to Lea and write a dumb poem for someone. No one will ever know who it is. So why the fuck not?
