Sorry for the long wait guys!!!
The last week has been very busy for me!!!!I sit in Appa's saddle with Aang and Katara. It's the day after we had been in the Fire Temple and Aang's been pacing up and down Appa's back with a worried expression on his face for the last 20 minutes. "Would you sit down? If we hit a bump you'll go flying off!" Sokka says from where he sits on Appa's head, taking the job of controlling the Bison. "What's bugging you anyway?" he asks. "It's what Avatar Roku said." Aang answers as he continues pacing. "I'm supposed to master all four elements before that comet arrives." he continues.
"Well, let's see, you've pretty much mastered airbending and that only took you 112 years... I'm sure you can master three more elements by next summer." Sokka says which makes me lean over the side of the saddle and hit him on the head. "Ow!" he whines while he rubs his head while glaring at me. "I haven't even started Waterbending and we're still weeks away from the North Pole!" Aang says with a frightened expression on his face. "What am I gonna do?!" he continues putting his head in his hands in frustration.
My eyes meet with Katara's and she nods before she grabs Aang's hand, pulling him down to kneel in front of her. "Calm down. It's going to be okay. If you want, Mia and I can try and teach you some of the stuff we know." Katara says with a smile. "You'd do that?" Aang asks as he looks from Katara to me for confirmation. Katara and I nod smiling at him. Katara and Aang then crawl over to the edge of the saddle to look down. "We'll need to find a good source of water first." Katara says. Sokka turns his head back to face us with a smirk on his face. "Maybe we can find a puddle for you to splash in."
Not too long after that we found a waterfall and a river to use. "Nice puddle." Sokka says sarcastically while Aang, Katara, and I look at the waterfall in amazement. That's when Appa swoops in from over head, grunting loudly as he drops into the water, splashing Momo in the process. He turns over on his back, floating around, ready to be lazy for a few hours. "Yehhh! Don't start without me, boy!" Aang yells to him as he suddenly is standing in his swimming trunks, ready to join Appa in the water. "Remember the reason we're here." Katara says, stopping Aang from jumping into the water.
Aang stops and looks back at Katara and I. "Oh right, time to practice waterbending." he says as he starts to pull up his pants. "Great. So what am I supposed to do?" Sokka asks. "You could... clean the gunk out of Appa's toes?" he suggests as he picks up a leafy branch and holds it out to him. Sokka folds his arms across his chest. "So, while you guys are playing in the water, I'm supposed to be hard at work picking the mud out of a giant bison's feet?" he asks skeptically. "Mud and bugs!" Aang says with a smile. Sokka pauses for a second. "Okay." he says as he takes the branch from Aang and walks away.
Aang, Katara and I move to the over side of the waterfall to begin the lesson. I decide to let Katara show him what she knows since Aang seems very eager to have her teach him. Not to mention, the moves that she'll be teaching him are fairly basic moves, whereas the moves that I will be showing him are more advanced. The only reason is because I've had 2 more years of practice then Katara has. "This is a pretty basic move, but it still took me months to perfect, so don't be frustrated if you don't get it right away. Just push and pull the water like this..." Katara says to him as she begins to bob back and forth gracefully, the water on the river's edge moving back and forth with her. "The key is getting the wrist movement right." she says. Aang gets up from his spot next to me and begins imitating Katara's movements. "Like this?" he asks. "That's almost right, if you keep practicing, I'm sure eventually–" Katara begins but is cut off by Aang. "Hey, I'm bending it already!" he says excitedly as he begins to bend a respectably sized wave of water.
"Wow, I can't believe you got that so quickly." Katara says, looking a little unhappy. "It took me two months to learn that move." she continues. "Well, you had to figure it out on your own. I'm lucky enough to have a great teacher." Aang says with a small smile. "Thanks." Katara says, smiling back at him.
