(Jack Frost x Hiccup)
Jack is not yet a guardian, and he uses this freedom to explore the world and just overall be mischievous and adventurous. He finds the small island of Berk. The energ...
❄️ After just watching the boy sharpen swords I get a little bit fidgety, and change my focus to making small, intricate designs with ice on a pebble. I get so focused in fact, that I don't realize that the boy has disappeared! I stand and look around while sliding the miniature frozen rock into my pocket. I then pick up my staff and run to the doorway. There! I see him, he's running down a side street. The wind picks up and I fly after him, my cloak flapping behind me. He doesn't make it very far before (almost) running face first into a dragon. I stop suddenly and fly up above the two. The dragon breathes a large blast of flames towards the boy, who stumbles as he dodges, and is barely able to get up before the dragon is ready to attack again. I'm a bit uneasy, but I try to reassure myself before I get too worked up. I'm guessing he's lived like this for a long time, he'll be fine, he knows what he's doing. I float down and stand on a large boulder near the two facing off. The boy is backing up slowly, focusing intensely on the dragon. He's unaware that he's getting closer and closer to a wall. He quickly glances backwards and realizes with horror that he's about to be stuck, and then dead. Now I'm very worried, I know nothing about this boy but I'm finding myself drawn to him. I jump off the boulder and pace between him and the boulder. Maybe he can slip to the side out of the dragon's veiw, and jump from the boulder I was on, to attack the dragon from above with his sword! I'm no longer just pacing, but jumping back and forth from one spot to another. "Hey! Just come over this way! You can get above and behind it to strike!" I'm shouting at him besides the fact that he has no clue I exist. As I tell the dragon slows and stops, warming up another blast. I become frantic. "Hey, c'mon! If you could just hear me! Augh!" The dragon will strike in moments, fire is already forming within it's jaws. I quickly form a small pile of snow on the ground with my staff and pick up some, forming it into a snowball. I aim, and throw it with full force at the dragon's head. It's a perfect shot! I hit it just as it sends out a burst of fire. I let out a sigh of relief as the boy ducks, the snowball messing with the dragons aim enough to let the boy escape. However, in my desperation, I must have accidentally put more magic than expected into that small chunk of snow. The dragon is now entranced and excited, remarkably happy. The boy leans back against the wall, confused. To his and my dismay, the dragon refocuses into the boy, it's eyes now full of enthusiasm and energy. The boy scrambles up off the ground, reaching around for his sword. The dragon flies at full speed in his direction, taking away the boy's chance to grab his weapon. Instead, the boy runs back through the maze of streets and buildings. I disperse the small pile of snow and fly after them. The boy dashes around a corner, almost running into the blonde teen that I also almost ran into earlier that evening. She dodges back and calls after him with frustration as he keeps running. "Hiccup! What are you-" she's interrupted as the dragon flies past in close pursuit of the boy, who I now know is called Hiccup.
