Hi just a note!!! Everytime the text is in italics, it's Cassie's future self thinking.

It was 8:00 when the beautiful sound of buzzing filled my ears. I groan as I hit the off button. I don't have any time to snooze it. I get up and brush my teeth and wash my face. I grab a random leotard and put it in along with Nike pros and a t shirt. I throw my hair up in a high pony tail and put on my flip flops. I hate early morning practices. I have been doing gymnastics ever since I was little, I'm starting to lose interest. No that's wrong. I have lost interest in it a while ago but it's just such a huge part of my life I feel guilty letting it ago. I glance over at my medals I won, sighing before shutting the door.
I go down the stairs kinda loud because I'm in a rush. To my surprise, my parents are home. My dad is outside mowing the lawn and my mom is in the kitchen while the losers are passed out on the couch. I pack my bag and get a bowl of cereal. I used to not eat in the morning but that didn't end well.
"Morning Cass," my mom says.
"Good morning," I smile back.
I set my bag down and begin eating.
"Are you excited for your first practice of the summer?" She asks me enthusiastically.
I was caught off guard. I was staring at the losers. I snapped back.
"Oh yeah, of course" I stutter out.
My mom sighs.
"Cass, you don't have to keep doing gymnastics if you don't want to. You know that. Life is too short to be stuck in something you don't like doing."
"No it's fine. Really." I say trailing off.
"You miss them don't you," she replies sipping her coffee.
"What?" I reply shocked.
She points her head into the direction of the losers.
I look down.
"Well things change. And they don't miss me so," I say as I get up to put my bowl in the dish washer.
"I'm sure they miss you, what happened to you guys." she says sympathetically.
"Ask your son," I snapped.
Every time it's always assumed I did something wrong. Not 'perfect Jack' because why would he ever mess up anything in his life?
"Sorry" I mumble.
"I gotta go, love you bye," I say running out the door. My friend scooped me up.
I guess I had a good amount of friends but not any close ones. I have a little bit of popularity at my school, but really only because if Jack. Plus no one in my gym goes to my school. We say hello and talk the whole way there. It was nice to just get away from everything.
After 10 minutes we arrived. I thank her mom and we head into the gym laughing. That's when my smile got even bigger.
"Noah!!!" I say and run to give him a hug.
"Hey Cass!" He says back while hugging.
After a few seconds we pull apart and my friend, Bri, gives me a look. I smile at her.
"I didn't think you would actually come," I tel him.
"Of course! Why wouldn't I?" He says in a disbelief tone that I doubted him.
"Because people say a lot of thing but don't do them, well I gotta go!! I'll see you soon!" I smile back.
Noah laughs and waves at me as I walk in with Bri briefly explaining who Noah is.
"I ship it," she says.
"We'll see," I laugh back.
We had a 3 hour practice. It was a long 3 hours. But for some reason, I didn't mind. I had a lot of fun. And I did really good. I glanced back at Noah a few times. He was so cute. It was the end of practice and the coaches called us over for a meeting. There was only 10 of us on the team since as we get older and the the skills get harder, more and more people drop out.
My coach looks at us and gives us a sad expression.
That's when all our moods changed from happy to worried.
"So girls, we know we just got back into the gym, but we need to close down for the rest of the summer. Money has been tight and we are so sorry..."
I walked out of the gym with Noah and he tells me how great I did. I told him about the closing.
And I didn't know how to feel. I was so upset because for the first time I was happy with this sport. However, this meant I got to spend more time with Noah. I guess it won't be too bad.
Looking back, I guess I can't regret the past. Because we did have a lot of fun together. For real. I felt like I was really living. If only those were moments that lasted forever.
"Come on, let's go shopping!" He says.
"Yes!" I didn't hesitate to answer.
I live in a small town so everything is pretty close. We walk to target. Usually, I would wish I had my license but with Noah, I don't mind walking. It was relaxing. We talk the whole way.
"TARGET!!!" I scream.
Noah laughs and we run into target.
We grab a cart and Noah pushes me as I stand on the back. We laugh and gets looks from the Karen's in the store.
"Ready and stop!" I tell him.
I jump off and run to the snacks. I get popcorn, chips, candy, and more candy.
"What are we doing with all this?" He asks me.
"You'll see" I smile.
It was already like 12:30. My plan wasn't going to take place until 7:00 ish.
We go to checkout and split the cost. We carry everything home and it takes us 30 minutes to walk back. Yolo. It began to drizzle but the sun was still out.
"I love sun showers," I say.
"Me too," he smiles looking down at me.

Jack's POV:
"Ask your son," I hear my annoying sister say. With that she left the house.
"Thank the lords" I mumble to myself. I have always been my parents favorite, like they love us both, but I just give off better vibes probably. Cassidy is a lot smarter but I don't know. I go on my phone until everyone else wakes up. Sophia was talking to Cassidy last night. I don't think there was ever a exact reason why we stopped hanging out with her. I guess I just don't want to be in the same friend group as her, I see her enough. Plus she's annoying. Everyone was pretty upset at first, but I think we all just got used to not having her around. We used to be close, but then everything changed. We stopped talking. We used to have fun and go out and do things together. Whatever.
All the losers gets up. We started calling ourselves that because that's what others used to call us when we were younger. But now we're older and had our glow ups. So we are like the popular kids. It's epic.
We get up and eat pancakes that my mom made. I keep seeing my mom glance at me giving we a weird look. I shake it off and just keep eating.
"We're heading to the quarry," I tell her heading to the door.
"Jack come here," she says seriously.
This never happens. It's normally just a 'bye have fun'. I roll my eyes and walk back to her.
The others kinda just stand by the door awkwardly.
"What did you do to Cassie?" She asks me pretty loud.
"What do you mean. I didn't do anything," I say slyly.
I love messing with people.
"We'll talk later," she says annoyed and eyeing my friends.
I nod and walk off.
