I woke up to multiple dings coming from my phone. Eventually, I got sick of it so i opened my eyes, expecting to see the light shining through my window. But nope. It was pitch black. I groaned reaching over to grab my phone from my bedside table. Rubbing my eyes and getting adjusted with the light, I make out they are texts from Noah.
"Gosh darn what does this kid want" I think to myself.
After reading through the 20 texts he sent me asking me to meet him at the beach for the sunrise, I tell him I'm too tired.
'Too bad' he texts back.
I sigh in defeat as I brush my teeth and put on flip flops.
Quietly, I make my way downstairs and open the door. Then, I make my way to the shed to grab my bike.
I ride to the beach, all by myself. I hated riding my myself. But at the same time, I liked it. It gave me time to think. Reflect. Plan.
It was so quiet. No cars were on the road. Just me. Very spooky.
After a couple minutes, I arrive at the beach. I see a figure standing near the water. I walk closer, hoping it was Noah and not some random man. As I approach, I can see it's Noah by the sweatshirt he is wearing. He doesn't have a wide arrangement of outfits.
I put my hands on his shoulders while jumping up screaming "boo!"
He jumps a little before turning his head laughing.
"You came!" He says a little surprised.
"Yeah thanks for the notice" I say playfully punching his arm.
"I figured you didn't have any plans anyways," he says as we sit down.
"I've never seen it before" he says.
"The sunrise?" I ask.
"Yeah. I just never got around to it. Then I couldn't sleep so I thought I'd ask you too," he explains.
"That's crazy. I grew up near the beach. My dad would always take Jack and I. Then the three of us would go out to breakfast. My mom usually had work in the mornings, so it was like something special for us." I tell him.
"That sounds really nice. I'm sorry again for everything." He replies.
"It's alright. I mean I was devastated but it's probably for the better." I try to convince myself.
"Everything happens for a reason" he smiles while looking at me.
"Stop I hate that!" I laughing leaning back into the sand.
"What why?!" He puts his head down next to mine.
"It only works to a certain extent. Maybe if I didn't get a job or something. But it doesn't work when you say that to a little girl when they lose a parent" I explain.
"You're right you're right" he says.
"What about no offense" I ask.
"THERE IS NO POINT TO THAT" he laughs.
"RIGHT. people be like ''no offense but that shirt is really ugly' like what!" I laugh back at him.
The sun starts to rise a little more.
"Isn't it pretty," I ask him smiling.
"Gorgeous," he says sarcastically.
"take a picture and post it on snap chat like all the other girls," he laughs.
"Never. I refuse to do that." I smile.
"Or take a picture of my food" I add on.
"I hate that," he says.
We lay in silence, but it was a comfortable silence.
The sun rises pretty much all the way.
"How was your first sunrise," I ask.
"Perfect," he smiles as we turn our heads towards each other.
I smile back at him. He leans his head in. I lean in too.
Then
We
Kissed.
After a bit, we pull apart.
"I love you," he says.
"I love you more," I smile.
Then we lay there for a few more minutes.
"I should get going, but thanks for asking me to come out here, I had a great time," I smile sincerely.
"Me too. I'm glad you enjoyed."
We start to walk up back to the street. Getting to our bikes, Noah drops his phone.
"Oh lord Noah, no offensive but you're really clumsy," I laugh, picking it up.
I got a quick glance of his Lock Screen, it was a picture we took not too long again. I noticed he had a text message. It looked like it said from Millie, but it couldn't be. I shook it off handing him his phone.
"Bye Noah!! I'll see you later."
"Bye Cass, have fun with Millie!" He calls out.
I think to myself about how he knew. I probably said it at the fair or something.
I ride back the rest of the way listening to one direction, specifically night changes.
I also stopped at Dunkin and bought myself a drink and a donut. I didn't like coffee much so I normally get refreshers.
I get home and notice bikes parked out already.
So early.
I walked in quietly, but Jack was already down stairs with his friends.
"Oh, hey guys," I say walking in and locking the door behind me.
Jack jumped.
"I thought you were sleeping," he says startled.
"Why are you having a drug exchange or something," I joke.
They all kinda freeze.
"It was a joke, laugh, haha funnyyyyy" I say.
"We're just hanging out," jack says.
"No duh," I say.
"DUNKIN" Jeremy shouts.
"FOR ME!" I shout back.
"Gurl" chosen says.
I shrug and smile as I walk to the counter.
"Hey Soph wanna come hang out with mills and i today?" I ask Sophia.
"Yeah sure that sounds fun," she smiles.
"Epicness," I laugh.
"No Noah?" Jack asks.
"No Noah," I reply.
"We should ask him to come over," Finn suggests.
"You do that," I nod.
"WE SHOULD" jack says.
"I'll text him," I shake my head laughing.
"No no no, give me his number I'll text him," Jack says running over, to now where Sophia and I are standing.
I tell him his number and he goes on to text him.
Sophia and I start to head upstairs to my room.
"HE SAID YES" jack exclaims as we are on the stairs.
"Oh joy" I reply.
The guys cheer on as if Jack proposed to Noah.
An hour later, Millie pops in my room.
"Millie!!!" I smile as we hug.
"What should we do?" Millie asks once we all settled in.
"Let's get ice cream," Sophia recommends.
We all agree and go back downstairs rushing out the door. Once arriving, we take our orders and sit at the table.
"Millie tell us all about Hawaii!" Sophia says and I nod along in excitement.
"Oh it was wonderful! We had a great time," she start and soon goes into more detail.
"By the way...," Sophia starts.
Millie and I look at her concerned.
"Wyatt and I are dating!" She exclaims.
"You owe me $20," I tell Millie.
"Ugh i didn't think it was actually going to happen," Millie smiles.
Sophia's mouth drops before we all burst into laughter.
"And Cass you and Noah are dating, right?" Millie asks.
"Yeah," I smile shyly.
"And Jack and Noah are apparently friends so it shouldn't be a problem," I laugh.
"Wait but this school year is going to be so good. Like we're all going to be one squad," Millie says.
"Yeah hashtag squad goals," I laugh at her.
Then we all look at each other.
"Gimme all the feels fresh head to know you already know the deal the same is TK big boss at Attaway pull to the school still swagging everyday" we sing, shocked that we still remember it.
"Good old chicken girls days," mills say and we all smile, thinking about when we were younger.
"But your right. It's like the losers: new and improved," Sophia goes back to what Millie was saying.
"Totally," I nod in agreement.
Our ice cream is brought to our table and we eat it up.
"I can't believe summer is like over. That's so crazy." I say licking my ice cream.
"Right. Like I don't like that. At all." Sophia adds on.
"I know it feels like we are still-" Millie goes one before I cut her off.
"Softish?"
"CASSIE" Sophia bursts out laughing.
"I was going to say in 5th grade but yeah that works too," Millie finishes laughing.
We spend the rest of the day all together walking around and what not.
Getting back to my house, the boys are still there.
"We have a plan everyone" Chosen says as we back through the door.
"Oh jesus take the wheel should we be scared?" I ask.
"Very," Noah nods in a serious tone.
Him and Millie share a glance.
"So" Finn starts.
"As you can see, we are all friends again," he says.
"Some even more than friends," Jeremy wiggles his eyebrows.
Me, Noah, Sophia, Wyatt, Finn, and Sophia turn to him.
Wyatt flips him off while Jaeden laughs.
"Back to what I was saying before I was RUDLY interrupted," Finn says glaring at Jeremy.
"Cut to the plan," Millie says clapping her hands.
"Right. We are all going to have one big sleepover," Finn finally says.
"Fun right!" Jack says in a high squeaky voice.
"Oh ok that's good," the three of us agree.
"That's all you got? We spent so long on this," Noah says in disgust.
The boys nod their heads.
Sophia, Millie, and I share a look.
"Oh my golly sounds perfect!" We jump in excitement.
"That's the spirit!" Jaeden cheers.
The night goes by fast and eventually everyone goes home, as we are having our sleepover tomorrow night. Very nervous for that. I go on my phone for most of the night before deciding to sleep.Hehe sorry I've been busy w school BUT I'm going to get to the point soon... next chapter will be the night and then school will start and there will be a time skip to see what happens!!
