102 years old. That was quite old for anyone, and the blonde didn't look a day over thirty. Though she wasn't much of a party person somehow the others convinced you to help them make a surprise party for Stephanie. Especially now that things were starting to go back to normal after the whole Thanos thing. Though it was still a bit off for Stephanie, since everything that happened.Yes, she did not take her chance to go back in time and have the life she wanted. Staying with the friends and family she had now, but still she was dwelling on some things. Perhaps it was those five years of beating herself up over losing her close friends, her family being torn apart. It was obvious to some she was struggling with the guilt of it all still.
You were tasked to keep her busy whilst everyone else set up the party. You had taken her out of the facility to get a coffee, sitting outside of a cafe. The world had definitely gotten better, but wasn't fully fixed up just yet. Some nearby stores still being fixed up and cleaned after so long of being abandoned.
You noticed Steph was spacing out a bit as you got her attention as her baby blues looked over at you as she forced a smile on her face. She had also been dodging any mentions of her birthday as well.
"Thanks for taking me out... I needed time away. Just...." she went quiet afterwards before she finished. She was being stubborn and not letting herself show her emotions.
You nodded before getting the text to head back with Steph. Though you didn't know if you should she seemed like she wanted this day for herself or with simply her and one other person. Maybe if she opened up she would be alright to go back and enjoy her birthday.
You......
