Chapter 16

SKY

She heard someone sobbing, and  something smells good. It's so good that she knows her mouth is already wattering, she slowly opens her eyes and saw the familliar ceiling of her and Shahara's room. She slowly turned her head to the side and she saw Shahara sitting right next to her and crying.

"Why are you crying?" She asked, Shahara suddenly sat up and looked at her. She quickly wipes her tears away and stared at her.

"Sky?" Shahara asked.

"Yes?" Shahara then laughed and then tears started to pour out of her eyes.

"You're awake! You're finally awake?" Sky slowly sat up and she saw that her arms and legs were covered in bandages.

"What happened?" She asked Shahara, she had no memories of what happened to her.

"You've been asleep for almost 2 weeks and a half. After i left you at the torture chamber i came back the next day and i found you badly beaten, your arms and legs were burned, your wounds are already infected...and...and for a moment...you stop breathing. The Regent and i thought you were dead." Shahara quickly stood up to get water for her, she reached out for it with shaking hand and drank the whole glass, after she's done she looks up at Shahara and said...

"I'm hungry." She licked her lower lips to wet her already dried lips. Shahara nodded, she sets down the glass and turnaround, sky saw her went to the small table in their room and pick a plate of freshly baked cinammon buns. The smell of it made her stomach grumble.

"The regent and the queen stop by earlier to check on you. And they drop it here, saying if you woke up i should give this to you." Sky suddenly felt confused by the news. They actually bothered to take a look at her?

"They stop by? Why? Aren't they mad at me?" Shahara then smiled at her.

"No, not anymore. Lady Lysandra talked to the Queen and defended you. She told the truth and offered her blood to prove your inoccence." Shahara told her as she sat back down beside her.

"Offered her blood? What does that mean?" Shahara placed down the plate at Sky's side.

"Vampires do that to prove their innocence. They offer their bloods, you see vampires have this special abillities that enables them to see their victims past and memories whenever they drank their blood." Sky nodded her head and she picked up one bread and ate it. The taste was so sweet. She likes it so much.

But then she lost her appetite when she remembered what the queen did to her and what happened to her at the torture chamber. it made her skin crawl. Shahara must have noticed it.

"What's the matter? You don't like it?" Sky shook her head.

"No, i lost my apetite." She said laying back down.

"But you must eat. I'll go get you something else." Shahara was about to stand up when Sky spoke again.

"Why did she do that to me? I didn't do anything wrong. I was just talking to Lysandra. I just defended myself from her. Why is this happening to me?" Shahara sighed and she sat down again, she stared at Sky, she look exhausted.

"You are the Queen's....pet Sky. It means you are her property. And that means that no one is allowed to touch you. You see the queen's sister is known for sleeping around with almost everyone she met. So when she heard that you and Lysandra went to the maze garden she gets mad." Sky stared at Shahara.

"I'am a wolf, and a wolf belongs to the wild, i'am of no one's property. I don't belong to the Queen and i will not give her my body." She said with full of ditermination.

"The only one i'm going to allow to touch me is my mate." Shahara suddenly felt proud and amaze. Sky had been beaten. Yet she still has the courage to fight. Shahara nodded.

"I know, it makes me want to give you a title." Sky suddenly looked confused.

"A title?"

"Yes, in my land. A title is given to a person that is strong, smart and brave. Titles are given to warriors, kings,queens and hereos. Titles were given to us. So that we will not be forgotten." She said as she held Sky's hand.

"I'am Shahara of Rimal, of the desert across the sea. And i gave you the title; Sky Eleutheria of the wild and the brave wolf of the west." Sky tilted her head as Shahara drew some invisible line from her palm.

"I don't deserve it, i'm not a warrior nor a queen. I'am not strong."

"But you are brave." Shahara said as she held Sky's face between her two hand.

"You are Sky, the Brave wolf, and i gave you the name Eleutheria so cherish it. I trust you that you are going to liberate this place. I trust you Sky because deep within me i know, that you will be the Salvation of every person in here." She then kissed Sky at her forehead. Sky nodded her head.

"Who gave you your title?" Sky finally ask.

"My father. He gave it to me the day i was taken from home. I'am Shahara of  Rimal, of the desert across the sea. I... I was given that title so i won't forget where i came from and who are my people. Though in this place the only titles that were given to them were queens and kings and lords and lady. We people in the desert thinks of unique names and titles so that we won't be forgotten." Sky noticed the glow in Shahara's eyes. She must have loved her people. Then it hit her. She said that that her father gave her that name so she won't forget her people and land, then that means.

"You are a princess!" Sky said looking at Shahara with wide eyes.

"Your father is a king! Yes?" Shahara nodded.

"Yes....He is the king of the desert. He is called Pharoah Rimal." Sky couldn't believe it.

"Then...why are you here?" Shahara's smile disappear.

"Because i'am offered as a present to seal the deal between the west and desert land across the sea."

"I....i see." Sky looked down at her hand and noticed that the bandage had been removed, so she pulled it down to see her skin. Shahara gasped when she saw Sky's skin.

"Impossible." She whispered as she held Sky's hand. And then she removed the bandage to see Sky's skin completely healed.

"How?....your arms and legs were badly burn. And now...not even a scar is left." She said. She then gently lift Sky's shirt and check out on her wounds. It was all healed and only one large scar that runs horizontally from her left upper shoulder down to her right waist is left. She touched it gently.

"I-impossible! I...your...how? Did you do these?" Sky shook her head. Well she didn't feel any pain at all.

"I'am a werewolf....But my healing abilities aren't as good as anyone. I'am one of the lower ranking werewolf so my healing ability is slower than the normal one's" She said. She didn't know how it easily healed either.

"Well...It is good that your wounds are finaly healed...though....The Scar on your back..." Shahara bit her lip. The scar on Sky's back is pretty nasty. It seems that Butcher give his all when he hit her.

"What about it?" Sky stared at Shahara's cat eyes. Those weird eyes makes her squirm sometimes. She was shock when she felt Shahara kissed her back.

"It's nothing." Shahara said.

"Just remember, no matter what happen. You are beautiful and brave." Shahara said hugging her.
