Chapter 21

The Pure Bloods.

SKY

"Why aren't we allowed to go out today?" Sky asked as she looked out at the balcony of their room, from down below she could see a lot of people gathering at the front gate, waiting for it to open.

"The Royal families and the pure blood are having a meeting. We are not vampires, it would be dangerous for us to go out." Shahara explained as she joined Sky. Sky pouted, she wouldn't be able to visit the garden again.

"They are many." Shahara said as her cat eyes squinted.

"Can you see them clearly?" She asked Sky who nodded her head.

"Well let me introduce to you, the Pure blood family, the Lancasters." Sky stared at Shahara before she looked down.

"The Queen has 20 siblings." Sky's eyes widened.

"20?! Wha-how?" She asked shocked, Shahara couldn't help but giggle.

"I was shock too, but Lena's father has many wives or should i say concubine. Lena is the daughter to Queen Ellaina Waevlor, well i won't tell much of her. But do you see those woman infront?" Shahara pointed the four woman in the front row of  the entering guesses.

"The first one is Lady Margareth. She's 8th in line for the throne. Next to her is lady Cassandra, 9th in line, then lady Victoria 7th in line and Lady Veronica 5th in line. Next to them is Lady Morgan, she's 6th in line, they are the daughters of the king to Queen Ellaina, that means those 5 are the queens sisters." Sky looked at the woman who are all tall and gorgeous, lady Victoria looked exactly like her sister Queen Lena, but with wavy hair.

"Next to them is Prince Caspian and her other brother Prince Jacob. They are the 2nd and 3rd in line." Sky tilted her head, those men have blond hairs and are very handsome.

"Why did the king not choose them?" She asked, well if the king had choose one of them to sit on the throne, then maybe this wouldn't happen.

"I don't know either. The king might have his reasons." Sky noded, then she noticed Lysandra walking with three woman, all of them are wearing a knights uniform.

"Oh! Look! It's Lysandra." Sky exitedly said pointing at Lysandra.

"She's 4th in line for the throne. And next to her is Princess Leonna with her twin Princess Carine, the 11th and 12th in line. And Princess Cornelia, they called her the Goddess of Victory, she had fought many wars during the capture and enslaving of your kind, she remained undefeated. And thus the queen gave her the honor of being the 1st in line." Sky notice the subtle change in Shahara's voice. It's as if she's admiring the princess.

"Do you like her?" Shahara eyes widened and then she look away.

"No, no i don't" Shahara said. Sky was sure that Shahara did like the Princess. Well looking at the princess, she has a light brown hair, she's also an inch shorter than Lysandra. With a gentle face.

"Who are they?" Sky asked again as she saw a man being carried by a carriage which is being pulled by werewolves on their wolf form.

"Prince Aamon and her sister and also wife.... Princess Eleanor, there are the 18th and 17th in line." Sky looked back at Shahara.

"They are married?" Shahara sighed.

"Those two are complicated. Next to them is Lady Maeve 15th in line together with her three sister lady Visensya 13th in line and  lady Helena 19th in line. She's a priestess. Weird i know, for a vampire to have a priestess. Ah and those two over there are prince Salazar the second 14th in line  and prince Nilus, 16th in line." Sky saw the two prince, handsome...they have a silver like hair.

"Where are the 20th and 10th in line?" Shahara shook her head.

"I never met the last in line. And the 10th, news have just arrived yesterday that she's been murdered by the rebels." Sky was sad to hear about the 10th in line. Well like she said, she doesn't hate all vampires, and believe it or not Sky new that revenge and death would not lead to freedom. She just knows it.

"The queen must be sad." She said as she looked at the noble vampires, and the slaves. Two different kinds, but must they be at war at eachother? Must they fight?

"Oh, not just sad, she's enraged. That is why she summoned the whole family, it's for the memorial of the fallen princess. The Queen maybe a bitch but trust me, she loves her family very much. Humor says that she has actualy a weak spot for princess Cornelia." She couldn't believe it, the Queen having a weak spot? Impossible. Well...she didn't know the queen well so who is she to judge?

"They are a lot. They must be a happy family." She smiled. Well Sky only knew three of her sister. She didn't even know if her mother had given birth to anymore child.

"What's the matter? You look sad." Shahara patted Sky's back.

"I wonder how it feels? You know? Growing up with your family, she must have a happy life, she got to have those many siblings and she got to meet them. I only met three of my sibling and we were seperated from a very young age. I don't even know if they are alive."

"What happen to them?" Sky smiled.

"They escaped from the breeding house, supposably it would have been the four of us, but i got caught." Sky chuckled at the memory but her eyes teared up.

"The guards whip me and then they broke my leg and arm to teach me a lesson. If madam Juanita hadn't showed up i would have been dead." Shahara hugged her, and then she kissed her temple.

"Shhh....it's alright. Well atleast now you got me. Right? I could be your sister if you want." Sky's eyes brighten. She smiled at Shahara and held her hand.

"Really?" Shahara nodded. At that moment, Sky had her very first friend. A friend that she knows she deserve.
