Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a grand kingdom.

The kingdom was rich and was most known for their gorgeous silks and trading bussiness.

Many years later, the reputation of it changed when war broke out.

War was brutal and the kingdom lost many of its land and money.

The citizens were poor and the trading business was not as strong as before.

Many political opinions were developed and there were many assassinations happening. The people were desperate for money, so many took the job.

Before the war, an heir to the throne was born. The queen had had many failed pregnancies from before so it was a big celebration.

Shortly after the prince was born and the kingdom started to change, the king was found dead in his bedroom. It was revealed that assassins had broken into the palace that night and tensions began to rise ever than ever.

After that particular event, the citizens were scared.

People barely went out of their houses and no one knew who to trust anymore.

The queen managed the kingdom from there but neglected her son. She shut herself from her personal life and never mentioned her husband.

The prince was basically raised by the workers in the palace and grew to despise his mother.

The prince was a handful. He always seemed to have energy that would last forever and a childish way of acting.

The prince would annoy the knights, treat them like good old friends and skip all of his private lessons. That never changed when he grew up.

Prince Junhui was taught to act in a polite manner but he was always bored.

He was bored of following his mother's orders and much preferred to he rolling around in grass in the royal gardens.

Just like right now.

"Your Majesty you must go to your lessons or we will both be severely punished" his bodyguard Mingyu, said for what felt like the 100th time.

"Mingyu, let me tell you something. Do you know what it's like living in the exact same walls for your whole life?" Junhui said as he played with the ant on his finger.

"It's torture Mingyu. My childhood wasn't joyful. It was learning etiquette and going to boring meetings about a war that shouldn't have happened in the first place."

"Her Majesty, the queen knows best."

Junhui didn't respond and started to pick grass from the ground.

"Your majesty, if I cancel two lessons next week, will you go today?"

After an unsuccessful bribe for three cancelled lessons, the two ended up in the library where Junhui's strict tutor was teaching him while the prince looked out window, daydreaming.

After some time, the royal messenger boy came in the room.

"Your majesty Prince Junhui," he said as he bowed down to the prince "the queen has requested me to escort you to the throne room as soon as possible."

Junhui immediately went with the messenger boy.

He was actually very excited that he was disrupted from his lessons and continued to talk to the messenger boy like an old friend.
