"Y/N?"

"What?" I ask, typing on my computer while sitting on the couch.

"Aren't you tired? Take a break."

"I can't Josh, I have to finish this report when I have time."

Joshua closes my laptop. "You need a break, and stop drinking coffee," He says, taking two mugs beside my feet. Joshua removes the laptop from my lap and sits down beside me.

"Eat something, hmm?" he says, putting two fingers beneath my chin and lifting my head a bit.

I shake my head.

"No, they're coming soon anyway." Joshua frowns and I stand up to go to the kitchen.

Joshua follows me. I get a banana and he puts his arms around my torso when I turn around. "But I wanted to have some time with just you," Joshua's lips gently brush against mine. I block his lips with my hand. "Not right now." I say, going back into the living room.

"We never get to be together anymore," he whines. "Well you know why, we're too busy these days." After a few minutes, I hear a knock at the front door and throw away my banana peel. I open the door and see two smiling faces.

"Mom! Dad!" I exclaim and the pull me into a big hug. They come inside and we all sit in the living room. "You won't believe what's happening in our neighbourhood right now!" My mom says. "You know the girl living down the street with three brothers? She got-". My mother's jolly expression changes when Joshua comes into the room.

"Um, hello." Joshua says. My dad just nods while Joshua sits beside me. There's an awkward silence between the four of us.

My parents have never liked Joshua, especially my mom. Me and Joshua met in senior year of high school through a mutual friend group. I guess they always thought that he would just be a classic high school boyfriend that I would break up with after a few months or so.

We hear small footsteps coming toward us and I turn around to see a little boy hugging a stuffed giraffe.

"Mommy?" he says. I spread my arms to bring him into a hug and kiss the top of his head.

"Did you sleep well?" I ask. He rubs his eyes and nods his head. My parents smile at the sight of their grandchild and they coo at Jun-seo while I sit him in my lap.

Despite their behavior, Jun-seo is definitely one reason why they don't like Joshua. I got pregnant pretty young, so me and Joshua got married quickly after. Even though they never said it, I could tell that they were disappointed when we announced my pregnancy and our marriage.

My parents come every weekend to take Jun-seo to spend some time together. "We can take Jun-seo to get breakfast." My dad suggests. I agree and turn to Joshua.

"Can you get Jun-seo ready please?" I ask him. Joshua nods and carries Jun-seo to the bathroom. Once Joshua is out of sight, my parents get rid of their cold demeanor.

"So, does he usually help with Jun-seo?" My dad asks.

"Um, no but-"

"So you do all the work here?" My mother interrupts.

"Well, he isn't usually home." I truthfully say. I'm quite shocked by their sudden remarks.

"What does he do all day that keeps him busy?" My dad asks sharply.

"He's just always busy with work and stuff." I say. They slightly scoff. In their eyes, being an idol isn't considered a "real" or "stable" job.

"What time does he come and go to work then?" My mom asks.
