"Junhui!" The queen yelled.

The prince was slouching and hitting a tea cup with a fruit fork.

Ting ting ting

His mother straightened his back and snatched the fruit fork from his hand.
"Do you think this is an acceptable way to behave around the princess?" She asked as she pointed to Junhui's fiancee sitting in front of her.

As the queen was apologizing to the princess and lecturing Junhui, Mingyu peeked into the room.

He was supposed to focus on guarding the dining room entrance way while they were having tea but he couldn't focus because the queen was yelling every two minutes.

Prince Junhui was very sulky and didn't even make eye contact with the princess.
The princess was very pretty just like her heard from the maids gossping and even made Mingyu blush a little bit. She a round face, big eyes, and flawless skin. Her hair was a warm brown colour and had a slight wave pattern. Part of her hair was tied up with a pale pink ribbon that matched her graceful day gown.

Mingyu could tell that Junhui was dressed in his cheapest clothes and his hair wasn't as nicely groomed as usual.

"Can I go now?" Junhui asked impatiently. They had finished they're tea and Junhui was desperate to get some alone time. The queen rolled her eyes and nodded.

"Mingyu!" She called.
Mingyu stepped inside the room and bowed.

"How many I assist you, your majesty?"
"Take Junhui..."

Junhui happily stood up.

"...and the princess to their rooms."

Junhui sighed heavily and started to make his way to Mingyu but was stopped by his mother.

"Junhui, what do you have to do before you leave?" She asked sternly.

The prince rolled his eyes and went back to the princess. He offered his hand and the princess took it. Junhui walked with her and their arms linked until they made it out of the dining room.

"Hey Mingyu, can you let me go first?" Junhui asked. Just as Mingyu was about to hesitate, Junhui ran off; leaving Mingyu and the princess alone.

Mingyu guided her to the room she was staying in until the wedding, that was to be hosted a week from then.

"Mingyu, right? Do you know why Prince Junhui doesn't like me?" the princess asked.

"King Junhui, you're majesty." Mingyu corrected. King Junhui had his coronation previously and now was in charge of the whole kingdom but wasn't really doing much anyway.

Mingyu definitely knew the answer to the princess's question. It was because of Y/N. Mingyu had previously found out about her a month ago but decided to not tell the anyone, including the prince himself.

"I don't know, your majesty. Perhaps the king just needs some time." he says instead.

They were silent for the rest of the way. After escorting the princess to her room, Mingyu made his way to the king's bedroom. He knocked on the door and Junhui told him to come in.

Mingyu walked in and King Junhui was sitting in his desk.

"Your majesty, may I ask you why you dislike the princess?", Mingyu asked.

"I don't know... she just isn't my type." he said as he looked down at the paisley rug below his feet.

"Will you admit that it's because of Y/N, your majesty?" Mingyu suddenly asked.
