Every human being must have had that same flying dream before. You're over a city, a beach, or some far off place looking over with a bird's eye view. You feel weightless and the wind is allowing your hair to fly next to you. But you start to wake up by the sounds or smells of the real world. Sometimes both in this case.
Star felt her body float over a vast green forest. The grey clouds touching the tops of the forest as she lies motionless. The wind seemed to carry her. She could feel a heavy but silky sheet on her body. Her arms spread out and her legs closed together. A cross, but is she the Savior or the Sacrifice?
Instead of flying upward, she begins to fall down as if a force is pulling up her feet. The blurs of hundreds and thousands of greenery passing by her as she descends deeper into the ground. A smell of rotten flesh and other matter surrounding her. She twists her head around losing the illusion.
Instead of the soothing warmth of sunlight pouring from her bedroom window, she found herself tied to a hospital bed with a large dirty white sheet covering her body. Her arms and legs tied down with leather straps. Giant florescent lights passing her by with an odd humming sound behind her head.
"Wakey wakey eggs and bakey! You're appointment is almost ready." Dr. Richard Trager sung as he spoke to the other imprisoned inmates. Star could hear the echoes of chains and screams as if she was underwater.
"Oh don't be so scared buddy. You'll be next soon enough. I gotta work on this pretty little thing first." He turned down into another room. This one held a heavy scent of medal and blood.
"You know what I could go for right now? A nice tenderloin steak and a martini. What about you kid? What anything special?"
Star's head felt like a bag of bricks and her mouth dry as a bone. The lights were dimmer in this room but colder. So so cold. The hairs on her skin prickled into tiny ice particles and she wanted to warm her skin up. She began to rub her legs together to feel bare skin touching skin. That woke her up form her slumber.
"What the hell?" She thrashed around in her restrains causing the sheet to move off her chest exposing the tops of her heavy breast.
"Whoa whoa sweetheart! You got wait for a minute before we can start all that." Trager readjusted the sheet looking over her restrains once more before moving to her head. The tears crawled down her face leaving marks over her dried checks.
"Hey hey hey no need for the water works just yet. We're about to have a family reunion pretty soon." Trager moved over to a small table in the corner with tools that truly came out of a horror movie.
"Richard what happened to you? You're you're..." Star couldn't form the words to describe the situation. His face scared and deformed with some sort of glasses. His once long, stringy grey hair cut down the scalp with what little remaining hanging on the back of his head. A thin shredded piece of cloth as a mask over his mouth. She could smell how rotten his breath was and the few yellow teeth he still had left. After peeling her eyes away, she could see a mess of wrinkled skin and his bones visibly noticeable under his skin. His nails black and jagged into bony claws. It was a drastic sunny day and midnight darkness of a difference of his transformation.
"I know I know. I've had some work done recently but I'm still the same old doctor you know and love." He took a knife out form behind him letting the blade touch her check. She stuck in a breath careful to not give him a risk to hurt her so badly.
"You know I was really interested in you. Maybe not as sexually as old Jer but I want to know more about you." He flipped her knife around in between his fingers as he starred down at the helpless woman. She took in a big gulp swallowing her tears. Her hands clenched into fists.
