Giyuu's POV
My hatred for demons is something that cannot be described through words alone. Those abominations killed everyone that I loved left in this cruel place.
My sister, Tsutako and my best friend, Sabito sacrificed themselves to protect my useless wellbeing. Different kinds of negative emotions engulfed my entire being.
Hatred......Grief.......started to develop inside my body, making me lose the light in my eyes.
I vowed to slay every demon in this world and kill Muzan to avenge my sister and my best friend.
I killed every, single demon who dared stand in my way, in return of being crowned as the Water Hashira which I personally don't deserve of being called one due to the guilt of not being able to save my sister and my best friend.
Ever since the death of my loved ones, I avoided being too intimate with anyone due to the fear of losing someone again, as a result of being unapproachable seen by other pillars.
This trend continued for a while until a certain 'insect' appeared....
She is a short woman with pale skin and large, compound-looking eyes that do not possess pupils, only a haze of gradient purple, which make her eyes appear similar to those of bugs. She has shoulder-length hair that fades from black into dark purple, usually styled at the back of her head into a "yakai-maki" style and fastened with a white and purple butterfly ornament.
She wore a white haori that previously belonged to the Former Flower Pillar, who was her older sister who died fighting a upper moon. She has an aura that made everyone around feel calm around her and a smile that warmed their hearts but under that smile, there was sense of anguish and rage that was simillar to mine.
She was assigned by Oyakata-sama to join me in missions to hunt down demons and look for clues about Muzan. She would always tease me about how no one likes me and that I smile weirdly when eating salmon daikon. Though annoying, I enjoyed her presence which made my heart beat a bit faster for some unknown reason. She continued to accompany in missions and made fun of me everytime after completing them but sometimes she wasn't with me due to her being a nurse for injured demon slayers. Though there were some moments where she was close to my face which made me and her blush madly.
But there was one particular moment that I realize that I'd fallen in love with her.
I was returning back from a mission but I received some injuries from fighting multiple demons at the same time. I went to her home which is also a hospital called the "Butterfly Estate" to grab some ointment and some bandages to patch myself up but as I entered inside the estate, instead of entering inside building, I went to the garden to see if someone was there.
Upon entering, I saw her standing below the Wisteria Tree while petals landed on top of her hair and a butterfly landing on her finger which made me stare at her in a trance. The petals on her head complimented her hair as if she was a goddess from the heavens. I felt a sense of deep sorrow on her face as she stared at the butterfly as if she was reminiscing a painful memory, making me feel that she needed a hug.
It was at that moment that realize that I wanted comfort her, protect her from danger and marry her.
She was the very light that filled the void in my heart that day.
