"Thank you, Zak and Darryl, for coming all the way to Annecy to help find my son." Vincent's mom takes both of their hands and shakes them. They were now in front of their hotel. Zak smiles and says, "No problem, ma'am. We will find Vincent, for sure." She smiles in relief and goes into the car. She waves them goodbye and they wave back. She drives off, leaving Zak and Darryl alone in front of the hotel. "Well, let's settle in, shall we?" says Darryl, looks at Zak and turns around to enter the hotel. "H-Hey, wait for me, Bad!" Zak exclaims and runs towards the already entering Darryl.
After checking in and getting their room key, they arrived at the 3rd floor, where their room is located at. "306, 306, 306..." Darryl says under his breath. Zak looks around to see the room marked 306 next to him. "Hey, I found the room!" he calls for Darryl, who is at the other side of the hallway. He runs towards Zak and opens the door with the room key provided. The door unlocks and Darryl enters first.
"Woah."
Zak enters next and sees the beautiful view of Annecy at the balcony. He looks around and to his surprise, the room was quite huge. "Wow, Zak. I didn't know you booked a room this majestic!" Darryl says while checking out the two double beds. "I, didn't know it was this nice, actually. As soon as I saw 'Two double beds' on the description, I immediately booked it." Zak opened the sliding door to the balcony and in front of him was the beautiful view of Annecy. He takes a deep breath and closes his eyes.
"Hey, Bad?" Zak calls for Darryl, who fell asleep while trying to lay down on the bed. It was too comfortable, that he fell asleep. Zak sighs and puts away Darryl's luggage to let him sleep comfortably. 'I wanted to know what time it was, but I guess I'll have to find out myself." He looks at his phone to see that it was now 3 p.m. in France. He drops his luggage and goes to the bathroom to wash up.

"Tes amis mettent trop de temps à venir te chercher, tu n'es pas d'accord? (Your friends are taking too long to come and get you, don't you agree?)" Alex walks around the room as usual while holding a phone. Vincent doesn't even care at this point. He barely speaks nowadays, as he would talk to no one.
Alex walks up to Vincent and smiles creepily. "Tu ne parles plus, Vincent? (Not talking again, Vincent?)" Alex pulls Vincent's hair and stares into his eyes. Vincent speaks up eventually. "Je n'ai aucune raison de parler ces jours-ci. (I have no reason to talk these days.)" Alex scoffs and lets go of his hair harshly. He storms out from the room.
Outside the room, Alex stomps to his room and shuts the door. He sees his CCTV screen of the room Vincent is in and looks at him. Inside, he still felt guilty, but somehow he feels like he doesn't want to lose to someone who is 6 years younger than him.
Vincent stares blankly at the empty wall, not knowing what would actually happen to his best friends, and what would happen to him. He keeps having nightmares about Zak and Darryl saving him, but it always doesn't end well. *At one dream, he was saved by Zak and Darryl, but as soon as they were about to escape, both Zak and Darryl got shot and passed out. Vincent looked behind him to see them lying on the ground, both...dead.*

Evening falls at Annecy, and the lights from the buildings lit up as if they were stars in the night sky. Zak and Darryl are chilling in their hotel room, going trough social media and watching YouTube. Darryl sighs and puts down his phone. Zak looks at him, wondering what's going on. "Hey, you okay?" Zak asks.
