18: The Final Showdown

Louis goes to check on the bat that Alex threw out after he went back inside. He walks slowly to the trash bin and takes a peek at the bloody bat. He looks around it, investigating it carefully. He realizes something terrible from looking at the bat. Blood was still rushing down from the tip and it was still fresh. He takes out his radio and goes to a secretive place so that he couldn't be seen. 

"This is Louis speaking. I just investigated the bat and I have terrible news."

Jake looks at the radio, as if he was talking to Louis face-to-face. "Go on, Louis."

Zak approached Jake from the back seat and he looked at the radio anxiously. Louis took a deep breath. "The bat's still fresh. We need to go in there now or else he would be in more pain."

Darryl overheard this and for a moment, he stopped breathing. Zak looks at Jake, terrified by the situation. He goes back to his seat and he stares outside the window. Darryl puts his hand on Zak's shoulder. "We're going in." Zak looks at Darryl, his eyes tearing up again. "I'm not wasting another minute to save my friend." Zak smiles and nods. 

"Rose, you're going with them. Distract them as much as you can." says Jake. Jude flips his wig and clears his throat. "With pleasure." Damien takes Darryl's hand and squeezes it. Darryl smiles and positions himself. "Let's go." "Be careful, guys!" George (NotFound) says from behind. They all smile and head out from the van. 

Damien steps out first, followed by Darryl, Zak and Rose/Jude. Zak slowly closes the van's door and stands behind the tall Darryl. He grabs onto his jacket, just in case. Darryl looks behind him to see Zak's eyes trembling. He comforts him by patting his hand and gives a warm smile. "It'll be okay." says Darryl. Zak felt a little bit more braver and he let go of Darryl's leather jacket.

"We all go in slowly, one-by-one so that they won't catch us. Louis will be up front and Dave will be behind us." Damien says, explaining their situation. They all nod and head slowly to the place where Louis and Dave were waiting for them. Louis grips his rope firmly and stands in front of the group while Dave stands behind them, holding his bat tightly. On Louis's command, they all walk to the entrance, slowly. 

Louis opens the door carefully and goes in first to check if there was anyone. He sees  the traps that George (NotFound), Nick and Harvey placed earlier to trap the men. He looks behind him slightly to warn them about the traps. "Careful, walk over or around the traps that they boys placed earlier." They all nod and they walk over the first one slowly. Once they passed all the traps, they arrived at a door with a small window. Louis goes to peek through the window and he sees a door on the left and a pathway that leads to another room on the right. 

"Okay, Damien, Darryl and Zak. You go in the room on the left. We will keep guard on the right." Damien nods and he slowly opens the door. As soon as he opens the door, suddenly an alarm sets off. The three of them run towards the door immediately, feeling scared. Zak takes out a Potion of Invisibility out from his bag and splashed it on the three on them and on Dave and Louis. Dave takes out his radio to speak to them about the alarm system they had planted. 

"Jake, I didn't know that there was an alarm system on the door leading to the inside!" Jake was surprised by this information. "What? There was? Even I didn't know!" He starts panicking inside the van, but Arran, who was sitting on the drivers seat calmed him down. "Hey. Calm down, Jake. It'll be alright. They're strong people." Jake couldn't believe what just came out from Arran's mouth. He takes a few deep breathes, and talks to Dave again. 

"Hey um, just be careful. Tell the boys to put the invisible wall so that people can't see them unlocking the door." he says, his voice trembling. "Alright." Dave puts down his radio and goes near the three scared boys. "Guys, put the invisible wall in front of you while unlocking the door." he whispers silently. Darryl hears it and takes out a long piece of metal from Zak's bag. He places it on the floor. He presses a white button and suddenly the metal bar transforms into a big wall that was invisible outside. Damien takes out several keys and some devices that will help him unlock the 10 different locks. Darryl keeps watch if someone suddenly comes while holding his throwing knife firmly. Meanwhile, Zak helps Damien.
