i'm glad that i was able to incorporate my main idea into this, where george didn't plan on telling dream in the first place, because there was no reason why he would, and he already knew dream's answer if he would confess. but he decided to do so, to spend the remaining days with him.
remember this: george didn't know spending time with dream only took less than 24 hours. because the flight, the hanging out, and the hospital scene only took one day.
