Abigail woke up to an empty bed just like the usual past days, the creeks on the bed sheet were proof that a human slept beside her and the human was nowhere to be found in the room. She expected after last night things would at least a little bit change between them however, they were back to square one.

Strolling out of the bed she did her morning routine in annoyance, not bothering to check her phone that's constantly blowing up with messages she deliberately took a long shower soothing her muscles trying to get away with the stingy feeling from her heart.

'I expected way too much' Abigail murmured in the shower. She realized keeping her hopes high would lead to nothing except heartbreak and she had a very weak heart now. Yesterday something inside her change, she wanted more from their unnamed relationship. There is this sudden urge to see him, hear his voice, have him in her arms these unnamed feelings have entered her heart and she can't deny them anymore.

Changing into comfortable clothing, drying her hair with one hand and at the same time, she finally took a look at her phone. So many notifications from Dara, Dr. Byeol, Xavier, Aaron and Evelyn-

Dara kept messaging her asking if she could meet today, there were few messages from Dr. Moon-Byeol as she had an appointment with her. Xavier had also texted with regards to the case. Among all the messages what caught her eye was the message from Evelyn. Abigail was surprised would be an understatement she never in a million lives foreseen Evelyn to text her let alone a thank you.

It's been years since the sisters had last spoken to each other on phone or via texts. Nothing was fascinating in the text just a simple thank you, no conversation prior nor any explanations are given later. A thank you that's it. Curious about what she thanked her or did she send it mistakenly Abigail replied to it by '?'

Abigail giggled looking at the messages Aaron had sent her, he was a romantic freak. Here she was thinking he didn't care but his texts were enough to set her heart on fire bring that gorgeous smile on her face. He knew what to say and when to say things that could flutter her heart. She couldn't help but think about his player ways. Though he hasn't done anything, a part of her still can't help but accept the fact that he has started to make space in her heart. She knows this is all a game once he gets a taste of her things are meant to go downhill.

Regardless, she wants to try out things, go wild and take wrong decisions. Twenty-six years she calculated every step in her life but it led to nothing but misinterpretations and oblivion. She lost the right to call family, cause running in the race she conquered the destination called victory at the cost of losing the most important people of her life.

Even though she had an exemplary career her life was nothing but gloomy and barren. She wanted to feel important and loved. She was ignorant and foolish back then when people gave out their love to her she was blinded by the flashing heights of her career presently when she looks ahead even on her death bed she would be all alone and devastated. Servers her right?

Despite knowing about his intentions and his player ways she couldn't help but let her traitorous heart overpower her senses for she wanted to feel loved even for the slightest amount of time. Who knows what the next moment could hold?

"Abigail, back to us?" Dara snapped her fingers on her face bringing her attention back to the ladies in front of her

"What?"

"Will you pay attention to us and stop texting?" Dara scolded to which Abigail giggled, locking the device she kept it aside now giving the ladies her full attention

"So what are your plans for Thanksgiving?" Dr. Byeol asked

Dr. Byeol had an appointment with Abigail in the morning after the checkup she changed a few medicines and asked her to think twice about her decision. Thereupon her appointment, she met Dara for shopping as thanksgiving was near so was Christmas. The duo met the doctor at the store, unexpectedly the trio became friends due to their mutual love for shopping. Girls they say.
