(Living Area and kitchen)
"I am not going. Final" Aaron announced, sipping his coffee relaxing with a shirtless body on his couch
"Shut up. Silverton" Martha barked, she whacked his head, walked to the kitchen to cook something for breakfast.
Scratching the back of his head "You're seventy-two yet so strong"
"Well I was an athlete back in the days" Martha removed vegetables from the refrigerator
He followed her to the kitchen saying "Why didn't you continue"
"I couldn't. My parents didn't allow" she remembered how her father threw away the dumbles she loved the most
"Tragic" murmuring he sat on the kitchen table while she cooked
"No" she replied, chopping onions she said "I am happy with how fate turned out"
"You believe in something called fate?" his voice held annoyance.
"Yes. I am happy I get to marry your grandpa" she said. After chopping onions, she went on then chopping spinach, capsicum, cabbage and spring rolls
"Well, I disagree you had a chance to do something in your life. You could have lived your life. Won medals or have been placed your name on Guinness Book of World Record but what happened you were tied in an arranged marriage"
She stopped chopping and turned her body to face his "Aaron, my boy sometimes things don't go according to our plans"
"But" she pulled him down the table and peered at her young grandson's eyes which resembles just like her son. They held lack of love the same as her son
"My boy I don't regret marrying your grandpa he was the best man in my life. He loved me with everything he had and you, my boy you will also find someone whom fate has tied with you. For you will love her with everything you have and for her leave everything as well"
"I won't leave anything for anyone" he grumbled
Martha chuckled "who's the girl upstairs?"
"A friend" he mumbled, pulling away from her grasp but she was too quick to grasp him back "truth Aar"
"Well she helped my friends so I am helping her," he said disinterestedly
"Okay. Go for the test"
"No"
"Don't argue Silverton"
"You're the one arguing"
Aaron and Martha stopped arguing upon hearing footsteps, they shifted their eyes to the stairs and found Abigail. She was still sleepy, walking in just Aaron's t-shirt and undergarments beneath, her face void of any makeup
