Evelyn stood at the door, watching her sister go insane; she had never expected Abigail to be so devastated, for Evelyn Abigail was someone who never cared about anything except herself. 

Abigail flung all the pictures of her mother on her wall, the mother she thought was dead, the mother she thought loved her and her family. the mother she longed her entire life. She packed what appeared to be childhood memories as well as unwanted college traces and tossed away everything she despised only keeping things she thought belonged to her.

If the room is in shambles, she would gladly pay those two bitches to clean it up - she cursed them and everyone else who had wrecked her life.

Watching her sister, she thought, maybe Abigail was shattered too, injured too, and she has always been short tempered and her rage had no bounds. Evelyn was aware of the chaos on TV, but she had no idea Harriet was behind it all.

With all her courage, she banged on the door, hoping to attract some attention. Evelyn had no idea what had happened, but watching Abigail sobbing and enraged made her feel something. They weren't particularly close, but Abigail's pain struck a chord. 

This was the same Abigail, she reacted the same way, she did years ago when her sex tape was viral. She had no idea how much this would affect Abigail, but what hurt even more was her father's betrayal. His actions and his words.

"Abigail" Evelyn called her 

Abigail stood frozen, her emotions running wild. She turned to face her sister, who was as lonely as her. Abigail felt guilty for not noticing the pain beneath Evelyn's eyes all these years. Evelyn had been abandoned by everyone, including her mother, Abigail, and now their father, who had chosen love above them.

Abigail can't imagine what Evelyn went through all those years she was more alone than her. "I am sorry," Abigail cried this time for her sister, frozen with the sudden apology Evelyn stared at her sister. Tears gathered in her eyes too, nobody had ever taken much interest in her life and now finally someone finally realizes what she has been through too. 

Abigail rushed to embrace her sister with apologies she should have asked long back but better late then never. Evelyn too reciprocated the hug and let her grudges flow as tears too. Both the sisters were inseparable in childhood, but no one knows what went wrong and one day none were bothered about the other. 

Abigail's apology hung in the air like a frail peace offering as they held one other, tears running down both their faces. Evelyn let her defenses down for once after being taken off guard by Abigail's sincerity. In that shared moment of vulnerability, the weight of years of resentment and hurt seemed to lift.

Abigail took a deep breath, wiping away her tears with the back of her hand. "Eve, you've been through so much. I never realized how much you've been hurting too. I'm sorry for not seeing it before."

Evelyn sniffled, her own tears mixing with Abigail's. "I never thought you cared, Abi. It's been... very lonely." the pause in Evelyn voice was enough to send a fresh wave of tears back in her Abigail's eyes

Abigail took a step back, holding Evelyn at arm's length. "Well, that's about to change. How about we leave this shambles behind? I'm not going to be able to stay here, and I don't want you to either. We can pack your belongings, leave, and figure things out together."

Evelyn was stunned by the offer; she had been abandoned her entire life, but for the first time in her life, she had been asked to join them rather than wait behind. "What do you think? The issue is not one of money. I have a place in New York where we can stay. Together"

Evelyn gazed at Abigail with surprise and uncertainty, still absorbing the abrupt change in dynamics. "You want me to come with you?"

Abigail nodded, a fierce look in her eyes. "You're right, Evelyn. I don't want us to be alone any longer because we're sisters. We can start over, away from all of this insanity."
