Living in fear and chaos for years
The children have never known peace
People rarely become the elderly
Fear became their strongest ally
Treading through the streets with caution
If they don't kill you, you die of starvation
Terrorists pulling off shootings and massacres
Leaving spilt blood all over the place
Everywhere out of media coverage
Driving citizens of all ages over the edge
Scared for their loved ones' safety
Paranoid of their own lives taken away abruptly
Living in fear and chaos
Surrounded by bombed cities
A thousand casualties
Left unburied and buried under
Is this war ever going to end?
Will the death of thousands
Pave a way for greater things?
Does your end justify your means?
Go to the streets and ask the dead
Their silence is your answer
