poem 11

I look at the window outside
and see a family of three
Sometimes I see them laughing and bickering
but mostly they just sit in front of the TV
I look at the window outside
and see a middle-aged couple
Sometimes I see them shouting and crying
but mostly they just sit in front of the TV
Their son rarely visits anymore
I look at the window outside
and see a gray-haired old lady
Sometimes I see her water withered plants
but mostly she just sits alone
flipping through pages of old albums
I never see her watch TV anymore
