Chapter 23

Baekhyun's POV

It has been 1 day and 4 hours since we last saw Sehun and the same day Chanyeol hyung broke down.

I felt pain. I didn't know Sehun suffered so much knowing he needs to build a wall in exchange of him not remembering the past. His past.

"There's something you need to know." Chanyeol said and muttered to get closer and so we did, making a big circle surrounding him.

Psh why to I think this is how the way kids would act if there's someone they would like to prank.

"Please I'm begging you we need to find him whatever happens.."

All of us nodded.

All we could do right now is to listen, comforting him, making sure hyung is alright.

Chanyeol hyung suffered so much. Imagine hiding the truth from the person you love and treasure the most just to protect him from the pain and from the past but, all of a sudden, all of those efforts were put to waste.

"10 years ago, I was 13 back then and Sehun was just a 10 year old boy when we lose our parents. That's the same reason why Sehun loses some of his memories including the incident..."

Third Person's POV

(Flashback)

10 years ago. 2 boys were running down the aisle of people not knowing the danger of the street.

"Chanyeol, Sehun, slow down!" A lady, their mother to be exact, shouted behind them chasing the said boys as fast as she could.

Finally, the young Sehun and Chanyeol stopped running near the darkest area of the street in which their mother sigh in relief.

"What did I tell you? No running down the street! Do not run away from us like that-" before she could even finish her sentence they suddenly heard a gun shot not far from where they are standing.

That lead Sehun to scream and crawl at his mother's arms. Chanyeol did the same.

"M-mommy...what was that?" Said the young Chanyeol. And another shot was heard. "Mom...let's got out of here."

Their mom nodded and was about to turn around when they felt a presense of a man standing 3 meters away from them, pointing a gun at their direction.

The man slowly made his way towards them not breaking his eye contact, still pointing the gun with a devilish smile flustered on his face.

"What a lovely sight we have here." The man said "Too bad you have to witness the end of it.." the guy pulled out the trigger aiming at their mother.

The poor women was shot on the ground, blood all over her body.

The two boys shouted in horror as they witness the tragic in front of their own eyes.

"M-mommy?" Chanyeol whispered as soon as he was out of shock, shaking his mother's body, tears flooding down his chubby cheeks.

Not long enough their mother's breathing stopped and closed her eyes.

In which Sehun screamed in agony hugging his dead mother.

"Mommy!" He yelled.

"You!" The young Chanyeol said standing on his feet while pointing at the man who just shot their mom, smiling like nothing happened. "You killed our mom...you're going to pay for this!"
