top tip: ALWAYS back up your phone! anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter, and posting may be slow for a while due to losing all my plans :(~
It had been a week now; seven days since your unnerving meeting with the Port Mafia boss, and every so often you would find yourself relaying his peculiar words in your mind.
'I don't think you realise how useful you are.'
'Neurological abilities such as yours give us the upper hand substantially.'
The echoes in your mind were paired with doubt, you knew your ability wasn't strong, it is no good for murder, only for buying you a small amount of time to escape before the recipient wakes up. It would serve little use for the barbaric Mafia, so why did he want it so badly, why did he want you?
You shook your head and let out a small sigh. There was no point in dwelling on such a subject, it was over now, the Port Mafia had left your life for good. At least that's what you had assumed.
After the meeting, your life had surprisingly carried on as usual, and you were pleased that none of the faces you had seen the week before had occurred in your daily life again. Yet, the sheer experience of your unexpected collision with the organisation had you flickering an unsettled eye towards your apartment door during periods of uneasiness. You would expect the doorbell to ring and reveal the two unfortunate faces of the young men you had come to know.
Although, being faced with Dazai's soft boyish features and Chuuya's handsome but blunt face, was welcomed if it meant the absence of roaring machine guns that would rip through the air to destroying and silencing you and your younger sister.Your eyebrows scrunched inward when you realised what you had thought. You would welcome the idea of them interrupting your life again? Even though they're killers?
"I hardly know them." You muttered, and shook your head in disapproval of your own naivety. Pulling out your phone from your skirt pocket, you scrolled down through your contacts until stopping upon Dazai's name. "I trust people too easily..."
Your thumb hovered over the 'delete contact' button before you felt a small tug on your sleeve. Turning your attention to the ravenette beside you, your eyes softened as she held up a picture drawn with various lines of orange, blue and black crayon. She beamed up towards you while pointing a small finger towards the orange mass in the middle.
"Look! I drew Nakahara-san!" She said proudly, now she had said it, your eyes managed to focus around the squiggles to make out a hat-looking shape and ginger tresses falling from it. You let out a chuckle and ruffled her hair.
"You've taken a liking to Chuuya, hm?" You teased, poking her sides. The young girl squealed in laughter as you tickled her, she made futile attempts to push you away while she breathed heavily through outbursts of chortles.
With an amused smile on your face, you placed your attention back onto your phone, eyes still wavering on the contact of the mysterious brunette.
"I - like his - hat." Natsu said between breaths, her cheeks had reddened, due to the tickling or perhaps from the revelation of her admiration towards the red head making her feel abashed. Turning towards her you gave her a kind smile.
