Marnie Hart jolted awake in her seat when Sherlock began talking again, hitting her leg on the leg of the desk in the process and cringing against the pain as she continued to rest her cheek on the wood. Hours, they had been at this. Searching for the answers to the cyphers- they now knew that they were numbers but that continued to mean nothing to any of them considering they didn't know what those numbers corresponded to in terms of messages. It seemed like a very long procedure and for a long while, Sherlock hadn't said anything, allowing Marnie to slip into sleep and when the girl looked over at her 'brother', she could see that he was a similar state, having fallen asleep with his head in his hands.

"Always in pairs, look" Sherlock called out and Marnie just took his word for it- how did he just cut off his need for sleep? She didn't understand it but, knowing she was going to fall asleep any minute, Marnie dragged herself to stand, jumping on the spot a few times to wake herself up and John just scoffed at her in a chuckle. "Numbers, come with pairs" Sherlock noted and John just hummed along.

"God, I need to sleep" the doctor groaned and it was Marnie's turn to laugh slightly as she joined Sherlock's side, glaring angrily at the pictures that had caused so much trouble.

"Why did he paint it so near the tracks?" Sherlock continued and John looked like he would rather be anywhere else in the world as he watched Marnie do a little 'wake up dance', Sherlock's face twisted in amusement but he didn't say anything more on the new development.

"No idea" John quipped uncaringly, sleep was now his top priority.

"Thousands of people pass by there every day" Sherlock informed and Marnie was certain she could hear John snoring faintly. "Ahh, of course" the consulting detective babbled and the girl just allowed him to grow excited, barely even caring what the happiness was all suddenly for. "Of course, he wants information."

"Sure, of course," Marnie nodded falsely and when he looked over at her, she grinned innocently- imploring him to chuckle in response.

"He's trying to communicate with his people in the underworld" Sherlock mused, informing her on what he had suddenly realised as if it was the most important piece of information in the world and she listened intently. "Whatever was stolen, he wants it back. It's somewhere here, in a code. We can't crack this without Soo Lin Yao" he decided, grabbing the pages and handing them to Marnie without even looking at her and she just took them easily.

"Oh, good" John groaned as he dragged himself to stand. Just like that, their coats were on once more and they were off again... Back to the museum. And there, they found the same man as last time.

"Two men who travelled back from China were murdered" Sherlock announced calmly, as if not discussing death with a random museum worker. John was too tired to tell him off and Marnie didn't care enough to cut in. "And their killer left them messages in Hangzhou numerals."

"Soo Lin Yao is in danger" John reiterated, knowing for certain that this was the thing that would strike their new friend into action- he cared about her, probably much more than she knew. "That cypher, it was just the same pattern as the others. He means to kill her as well."
