"Wake up Lea, it's already 6, we have to get ready sweetheart," Mom said, shaking my arm to wake me up. As my eyes slowly open, I was directly blinded by the sunlight coming into the room.

"It's Sunday," I whined

"We're going to church," She informed proudly. We've never been a very religious family, We go to churches every once in a while (and by that, I mean once a year) but never consistently.

"Church?" I asked, sitting up in surprise. "Why all of a sudden,"

"Your dad and I decided it would be nice. We also decided on going every Sunday now. To strengthen your bond with Jesus." I rolled my eyes. I didn't know this was part of moving. "It's been long since you went to church Lea. It would be best," She walked over to the door but, before leaving she turns back to me "Wear the clothes we bought yesterday," She turned the knob and left my room. I laid back on my bed but wasn't able to go back to sleep no matter how much I forced myself to.

Like I said, we only go to church once in a while. The last time I went to church was I believe around two years ago. Well, In this case, 121 years in the future. I was around 13 and was still in Sunday School.

I decided to take shower considering it will be my first impression with basically everyone. I heard there was only one church in Avonlea and I'm positive I'll be making a first impression on everyone in Avonlea. I walked over to my wardrobe to choose a dress. Dad decided to buy me a new and bigger wardrobe since he knew the one I had wouldn't fit all my things.

The new decor took my by surprise, It really took a spin on the room. The fairy lights were tracing my full body mirror. The only difference on my desk is that it is now there are things on it. I placed a pen and pencil holder, and my laptop. For my chair—that was made entirely out of wood and nothing else— I added a pillow to make it more comfortable, Although, I suppose it only made it seem more comfortable but still, I'll consider it progress. I have to admit, The desk set was quite beautiful. Dad asked me if I wanted to buy a new one but I declined his offer. The one that was already here didn't look damaged at all and It felt like a waste if I just threw it away. It was white and had gold details on the drawer of the desk. I placed the desk in front of the window so that every time I was doing my work, and looked up, I would look at the beautiful view that was my backyard.

As for my round bed, it was moved to the edge of the room. Right beside the door. I placed two night stands with two lights. One lamp on each stand. I loved the lamps. They looked vintage in my eyes, but I suppose for people here it was the 'new' and 'fresh' well that's how I heard they were promoting it. They were $60 and the light bulbs were $70. Very expensive honestly. A lightbulb being sold for $70? That's just beyond overprized. I stuck polaroids on my wall. It didn't felt right leaving it behind. I sticked them above my bed so there was a whole wall of polaroids there.

I chose the most decent looking dress in my wardrobe. It was modest though at the same time, elegant. It was this ankle length ivory dress with short puffy sleeves. It was parted in the middle with frills. Frills were at the bottom of the dress, the middle and the back. Frills were surprisingly pretty.

Putting on socks and my converse, I looked at myself in the mirror. Though I do realize it didn't quite match well, It was what I had and I just had to role with it.

"I feel so holy now," I joked as we walked inside the church.

"You will be," My mom corrected causing me laugh. I tried staying quiet to not gain attention, but either way the crowd of people had their eyes on me. As my parent took a seat on the third row on the right, I followed sitting on the edge of the bench. Looking around the room, I made eye contact with practically every single person in the room. It made me a bit uncomfortable... all the pairs of eyes staring back at me, glaring, whispering.
