I walk up to the door and knock. When she opens the door I pull her into a hug.
"Jace!" she says, "I thought you and Alec were training Simon today." I smile at my girlfriend. It is true, but she doesn't know that at the Christmas party, that I am here to invite her to, I will ask her the most important question of my life!
"Hey Clary. I am but I came to invite you, Luke, and Jocelyn to our Christmas party tonight."
She grins, "ok can you send Izzy over I think I might need her help?" I laugh and give her a quick kiss.
"Ok I will send her over. Make sure you wear something pretty." I say and start to walk away. I remember the envelope that arrived at the institute this morning, just before she shuts the door.
"Oh I almost forgot that this came to the Institute this morning, and it is addressed to you," I tell her as I give her the envelope.
"Ok thanks Jace," she says taking the envelope before giving me a quick kiss and going inside.
