sleep

Eyelids heavy
Tiredness creeping
The ticking clock lulls me

Soft comfortableness wraps me
I feel light
I feel like floating
To the sleep I am in need and want

Will you sing me a lullaby
To the throb of our hearts
Hold me, dear
Sing for me until I sleep

Let me sleep
And I promise, never shall I forget you
You will always be in my heart
A part of my dream land

A place never dark nor bright
Never day nor night
Where it is neither cold nor hot
But a grand place of lethargy and rest

A paradise we go when we sleep

For now, it is my time to sleep
Please, allow me the refuge
From the waking world

And when I wake up, again
I will still reach for you beside me
We will lay again every night
Hold each other close and sleep soundly

Goodnight
