On the outskirts of the abandoned west palace, a small body was running off, tears running down his face. It was Monte. The crown prince and the future king of the Eleas empire. Although at the age of five he was already considered much more mature than his peers he still was a child in his heart. He longed for the love that was stolen away from him by his sister. Yeah, even though he knew that none of this was her fault, he still needed to blame someone for it, right? After all, he was a motherless kid. And blaming her would at least bring some peace to him. That's why, today he went to the west palace with the plan of blaming Eleanor over everything. To ease his mind. But what happened out there was totally unexpected.
To put is plan into motion, he went through a secret hole in the west palace's garden that was big enough for him to pass through. He had heard from the maids that Eleanor usually would be taking a walk in the garden at this hour. There were also rumors going around about Eleanor's beauty and talents. Thinking about that, he jealously gritted his teeth.
I will make her learn her place.
Monte was looking for Eleanor when he saw her coming out with her "maid".
Wait, what? Isn't that a male?
Monte's ocean blue eyes widened in shock. He became curious about his sister as he saw her for the first time. Titanic red hair tied in a messy side braid, the hair color went beautifully with her gem like blue eyes. He hesitated as to when attack her, for some part of him actually wanted to observe her more. He was so conflicted about it that he didn't even notice when they passed through him. But when he did, he had already come to a conclusion.
He walked out of his hiding place and went straight where he saw the maid and Eleanor going.
I'm gonna destroy her.
Monte smirked evilly. When he finally noticed the maid, he called out to him," Are you Eleanor's escort?" Like someone with high authority.
Don turned around immediately and frowned at the sight of a boy in front of him. He didn't understand what a mere boy was doing out here, like a trespassing weirdo.
Seems like the security isn't that good. I need to talk with the chief immediatelySeems after this walk. I can't risk putting the princess's life in danger, with hooligans like them.
Don's eyebrow's furrowed deeply at the thought of abnormal people like this boy approaching his princess. He didn't notice when the boy called him once more.
Monte was annoyed at the he maid who was ignoring him. He called out again and again but the maid seemed to be lost in his own world. Finally, losing his mind he pinched the maid hard on his bushy hand. The maid opened his eyes in pain. Before he could say a word, Monte burst out like a volcano.
" Don't you ignore me again. I am the crown prince of the Empire, how dare you think of something else in my presence."
The maids jaw literally dropped in shock when he heard his name. Monte smirked with satisfaction. He asked the maid like he's the King himself.
" Where is that child?" He looked around hopping to see a shocked and happy child.
And then I'll turn her miserable.
But he couldn't find her anywhere. He looked at the maid questioningly, but all Don could manage was point at the direction of a big banyan tree where, sitting in the swing, was a girl. He started to walk in her direction but stopped abruptly as he suddenly heard the girl sing out of nowhere. He looked up, mesmerized by the sweet voice. The sight he saw was holier than anything he had ever seen.
He was dazed.
When he came to his senses Eleanor had already stopped singing and was walking back to where they were. She frowned at the sight of them. Then her eyes widened for a second but changed immediately and her poker face was back on. She looked so cold that for a second it scared Monte.
The maid, Don, introduced Monte to Eleanor but she looked as if she was wondering about something else and that greatly annoyed Monte.
Like maid, like princess.
After a few seconds Eleanor turned back to look at him and her empty, emotionless face made Monte want to scratch it off. Even before Eleanor could greet him, Monte started to yell at her.
But the crying and broken face expected, never came. The girl just stared at him coldly and he felt like she was looking down at him.
Eleanor shot back at Monte which made him place at a awkward situation. He just was calculating what to say when Eleanor lashed out even more harsh words. And all he could do was quietly listen because whatever she was saying were all the truth and they were like a tight slaps on his face. Embarrassed and ashamed, he just glared at Eleanor before storming off to where he came from.
