MY BIRTHDAY

I am soo exited today because it's my birthday! Yeaaay!  I went to college in a rush because it took me ages to get dressed and then I went to the cafeteria because I was really hungry! I saw Aaminah and Mariam waving at me so I went and sat down next to them.

"Hajar, close your eyes!"Aaminah said.

"Why" I  replied.

"Just close them!" She shouted.

"Okey okey chill" I said closing my eyes.

I heard some shuffling and whispering and then

"Ta-da" Mariam and Aaminah said causing me to open my eyes. Wow! Two gifts were on the table.

"Open them" Mariam said which made me smile!

Thank you so much guys! I love you soo much I said standing up and giving them a bone crushing hug. I didn't think they would remember that it was my birthday but they never forget things!  I sat back down and opened the presents, one of them was my favourite perfume! Dior! I love that perfume soo much but I rarely use it because I don't want to attract the opposite sex, the second one was a beautiful white scarf with pink flowers on it, I am sure this is going to be my favourite scarf!

"Thank you soo much!" I said.

"Hajar, we just wanted to tell you that we love you soo much and you have been the most amazing and caring friend we could ever have!" Aaminah said.

"Yes, you've been with us through thick and thin and you always support us. We love how you make us laugh and how you always have a smile on your face!" Mariam said. A tear escaped from my eye but just as I was about to thank my beautiful friends one more time someone interrupted me.

"Erm..... this is for you, it's nothing special!" Haroon said.  Giving me a gift! I wonder what it is?

Before i could thank him he was nowhere to be seen.

"Ooooooh, is it normal for a boy to give a gift to a girl!" Aaminah said making me blush a little.

"Shut up!" I shouted with embarrassment.

I opened the gift as fast as I could ripping the wrapping paper like an angry monster.  I could finally see the gift. It was a square red box that twinkled ever so slightly,  I opened the box gently causing my heart to beat faster then usual! My eyes widened! It was a necklace, it had a red heart on it. The heart twinkled and shimmered!  It was beautiful, no, not just beautiful but it was erm..... I really can't describe it!

I stroked the heart gently like it was a antique or something very special.  I held it with both hands and admired  it for a few minutes until I realized that the heart could open!  when I opened it, there was a small key, it was beautiful! It had little diamonds on it and it was really small I smiled! What could this heart mean! Does..... does he like me! I noticed a note next to the heart.

Hii, hajar, happy birthday! Naima told me it was your birthday sooo I decided to give you a present! I hope you like it! You can give the key to the owner of your heart! It's the only key that can fit into that heart, I hope you like the necklace!  It's the only one in the world so you better not lose it! Sorry, I couldn't tell you this in person! Naima said to come to her house because she needs to give you a present!

I thought and thought and thought about what I was going to do and I finally came to a conclusion that I will give the key to Haroon! And then he will know that I like him and that he is the owner of my heart!  I hope this goes well inchallah!
