Lost
If moments like this could last long, I'm rooting for that. The sunrise always reminds me of new day, new hope. It's been my motto ever since in my life. I couldn't wish for more. I'm so satisfied in my life.
I watched the sunrise while standing in the balcony with robe covering my body. It's a little cold here. Maaga ang naging pagsikat ng araw. Matagal na rin noong huli ko itong nasilayan
I rubbed my hands to my almost exposed shoulder. Lumunok ako ss lamig na nadarama nang biglang umihip ang hangin. Doon ako nagpasyang pumasok na sa loob at marahang sinara ang pinto. I don't wanna wake up the man sleeping peacefully on the bed.
I lay down and covered myself with the thick sheet. Sa totoo lang ay hindi ako nakatulog. What happened yesterday seems surreal. And I figured out I wasn't ready yet. To get married and have a family. Even if I admit that I do have a feeling with Uno.
Frankly speaking, I wanna explore. Build names outside the country, be one of the best editors and my dream to be part of Metropolitan Magazine in New York.
I sighed while observing the ring on my finger. It's too beautiful beyond what I think it is. But like what I've said, I'm too afraid of the possibilities. I wish I could erase it! But heck! It wasn't easy!
Their big dinning hall were full of foods. Nalula ako sa dami nito but what can I say to Moretti family? They got everything! Wala lang ito sa kanila. Kaso sayang talaga ang kanilang pagkain kung hindi mauubos.
"Did you sleep well last night?" Dad asked after our long breakfast with the Moretti.
"Um, y-yeah. I was sort of tired that's why I instantly fall asleep," I lied.
"We'll head off after our lunch. We decided that you and Uno need to have some vacation. Is it okay with you?"
I bite my lower lip. Once again, me and Uno... All alone...
"Yep! It's okay with me. I'll surely have fun."
Indeed, after lunch they decided to go home. Naiwan nga kami ni Uno kasama ang mga kasambahay nito. Tita Selene and Tito Gregory were the last one to bid goodbyes.
"Take your time here, Azure. Hope you'll like your stay here." Tita Selene squeezed my hands as she held it.
"I will, Tita Selene. Have a nice trip, Tita and Tito."
Bago tuluyang makaalis ay nag-usap muna ang mag-ama. I don't wanna indulge myself that's why I went inside after I escorted Tita Selene to their car.
I got some water inside the fridge. My mouth went dry after the long goodbye with Mama Remedy and Mama Emiliah. I saw my Mamu Liz in them. I suddenly missed her presence.
I was about to go upstairs when I heard a loud thud. My heart went wild.
"Mamu Liz, I didn't mean what I said. You're scaring me," mahina kong usal.
Thinking that it's Mamu Liz made my arm's hair rose!
"S-Sorry, Senyorita Azure. Nalaglag ko po kasi ang mangkok."
"Oh... I-It's okay. I just got startled."
Startled? Really? You almost got an heart attack, Azure.
Dumiretso na ako sa taas. I'm planning to take a dip in the bathroom. It's been a while. Pinaalam ko rin sa mayordoma nila para kung sakaling hanapin ako ni Uno ay may maisagot sila.
I took off my clothes at the foot of the bed. I walked naked towards the bathroom. I also prepared it already kaya wala ng problema. Veronica, the daughter of the mayordoma even suggested to prepare the tub for me. It was a nice offer but I refused. Nasanay na kasing ako ang naghahanda para sa akin.
